How many times do you clean your Kohlefaser Luft-Technik intake filter?

Was just wondering everyone's filter maintenance, and how often you clean your cone filters before buying a new one... I know they are only like $45, but I have plenty of K&N recharger kit chems to use, thanks!!

I clean mine about 2 times a year, same time oil gets changed. About 6k miles. K&N is $71 roughly for our applications. Clean away... I'd think it'd last 10 or more years as long as its maintained regularly.

K&N recharge kit or you could get by with soap, water, and dry. Add some air filter oil before reinstalling. We are talking about K&N filters.

I never have to. If you buy it from FCP Euro, just pay for a replacement of your original purchase, send the original one back to them...and you benefit from their lifetime replacement guarantee warranty.

    Just rinse & repeat.

No need to ever clean a reusable one because you get a brand-new one shipped to you, every time.

I don't think so. When I swapped out my K&N for the IE intake the K&N filter's flange looked to be too small to fit over the IE throttle body inlet.

We have always seen very good gains on intake systems just by replacing the filters that come with them with a real K&N, AEM, AFE or BMC. Most intakes come with a no name filter. And most people do not clean or replace them often enough.

    Here you go: https://www.fcpeuro.com/Audi-parts/S...&b=5&d=3474&v=

It's specified for my 2012, but feel free to follow the specified "Audi / S4 / Air Intake" when searching your car's model year.
