Honeycomb compatable grill 2016 S3

I wanted to swap out my pre face lift S3 grill on my 2016 US based S3 for an RS3 style honeycomb grill. I want something that is all Black, is compatible with the OEM audio 4 circle emblem, lets me use my S3 emblem and allows me to retain my stock parking sensors, adaptive cruise-control and US license plate holder since im in NY. and is required by law. I also want the honeycombs to go all the way to the bottom as I dislike the ones that have the RS3 quattro badge across on the bottom.

I found a bunch of different ones for sale but cant seem to find one that meets my requirements. Does something like that exist or am I asking too much

You mentioned 2 different model years. Do you have a 2016 or a 2018? The S3's front end was redesigned for 2017+ models.

Ok. Yes there are some good RS honeycomb grill options for the 2016 S3. I would recommend the Winn Autosports grill:

Don't cheap out on a grill. I've seen some Audi's on the road and online with crappy looking RS grills and it ruins the car IMO. Your front bumper has to be removed to install the grill. I've heard of people having issues with their sensors after installing a new grill. I considered getting the RS grill for my 2016 S3 but decided to keep the original one instead and save the money for some other mods. I have the black optics package and it looks great on my white car. My badges are blacked out as well.

That one has that hideous Quattro banner at the bottom. Also, does it accommodate s3 logo and have cut outs for the parking sensor and crusie control?

You can buy it with it without the Quattro on the bottom. Look at the picture with the red S3 it doesn't have Quattro on the grill.

That eBay one you found looks good just make sure to read the seller's feedback and make sure the RS3 badge is removable. You do not want to use a fake badge. Ever.

Yes but the picture with the red car still has the frame around the quattro still there. Looks silly.

I dont get it. Even the one I posted, shows the grill without anything at the bottom and then they show a pic installed on a car with that box frame around the bottom. WTF?

Yes I see that. Are you talking about the license plate frame (that's removable) or the separate section where the word Quattro is in some pics and missing in others? Many of them have that separate area where the Quattro word goes. I would email the eBay seller and ask them to be completely sure.

Not a bad looking grille. Prices gave definitely gone up on these as I guess they have fewer to go around. I love the quattro logo in frame in lower mesh, but alas I’m FWD and just couldn’t do it in good conscience.....even though 99 of 100 regular folks wouldn’t have a clue.... most just relate QUATTRO to Audi as a general term

The big issues with these grills is that the parking sensor mounts are too far set back than the oem grills causing the sensors not to work properly. Apparently this mold works. It comes in every possible combination,

and once ordered, take two weeks to get from China. This website speaks English and is very responsive.

I will do a review once i get it and install.

How the hell do the rings attach to that? Is the mesh actually cut out around it or is that just a deceptive picture and it's actually solid where the rings are?

That makes much more sense. A different color other than what the background is would be a good idea. I’d rather buy from an actual website vs trying to depict what all the different sellers and options are on eBay and hoping you get the correct one.

Man i was gonna order from there but was skeptical since they've only been around since feb '20. I'm kicking myself for not getting it now.
