B8.5 S5 Wing options?

Hi guys,


I have a 2013 S5 and I've been looking everywhere for a rear wing/spoiler. I love the way the 2013 ABT RS5-R wing looks but I can't find that anywhere nor know if it will even fit. I also liked the SR66 body kit wing too but they only accept wire transfers so that's a no go. I have even looked into universal wings like APR and I don't think they match the style of the car that well. I don't want a duck lip either and have really felt like I have looked into every option here.

Anybody know about a rear wing that isn't obnoxious but not too subtle?

Most of the wings are the duck lip style which is a stick on.
I want the wing u mentioned, but they are not cheap and u have to drill into your trunk obviously.
I prefer a wing like the abt, I know some people has posted one that sells it or similar to that style.
It's something different and almost everyone has the duck lip style.

Do you know the name of the wing or brand that sells it? I also saw that Audi sells a wing and its not too bad. if you go onto audi parts usa it's called Rear wing spoiler - Audi (8T0-071-645-9AX).

I was talking about the sr66 kit.

they want 490 euros + shipping. Not quite sure why they only do wire transfers but if they did paypal or even maybe just card id pull the trigger on it.

but in my opinion that isn't too bad for how its the only good looking wing for the car imo. sucks they only accept wire transfers

What I *really* don't understand about that ABT kit is the fact that their RS5-based "RS5-R" is wearing a non-RS grille out front.

I just got the ECS Audi B8/B8.5 A5 And S5 Trunk Spoiler - Gloss Black Mfg Part #006334LA01 ECS Part #ES#4070346. On sale for $143, so hard to pass up. My car is black so the gloss black finish matches the black of the car very well. I like the profile as well, looks OEM. Unfortunately the one I got has visible flow patterns from the injection molding. From behind, looks great, from the top, sort of wrinkles and dips from the surface. Up close does not look OEM.

I was wondering about this piece. Can you post a pic showing the imperfection? Is the material sturdy/rigid?

I liked the way the gloss black one matched the paint of the car, it looked stock, except for the ripples. The carbon fiber has an overall higher quality surface contour. I'm curious if this is a copy of the carbon import lip spoiler. Their spoiler extended out at a 35-40 degree angle...too horizontal for my taste as I wanted something more vertical like 60-65 degrees.

Can you take a dead on picture from the side so I can see if the spoiler is more vertical than horizontal?

It actually is both, about 30 degrees on the leading surface, 60 degrees at the trailing surface. Hope that helps.

Agreed. Both of the similar CI versions for the S5/A5 appear to have a more shallow trailing angle the protrudes more to the rear than the ECS. The CI also looks to wrap the edge of the trunk a bit more.

Thanks Coldstig. I might pull the trigger and get it. If I don't like it... it's only 143 bucks and I'm pretty sure I can sell it here for a small loss.

I just received the ecs black gloss spoiler during their sale. I'll be painting it misano red to match the car.

Right off the bat, this spoiler is more vertical than the carbon imports spoiler which is what I was after. Here's some pics I took which I placed on top of the trunk.
