S3 Lease deals - Sanity check

Hey all, I've been digging around but no luck...

Would people mind sharing details of their lease structures over the past few months. My GF has been looking for a new car but I'm not feeling what they presented to her given the current state of the world

Here's what the dealer pitched us:

$2k down, 36 month, 12k miles/yr, 49% residual, .0005Mf for $557 pre tax.

Just send out emails to dealers and see which one will give you the better offer. I’d just give them a price you’re comfortable with and see which dealer gets closest to you price.

Sounds like a terrible deal to me.

I'd post on the Edmunds forums to get the base money factor, residual, and current incentives and offers. Post a reply on the thread below with your zip code, amount of miles, and term you want. This way you'll know if the dealer is marking up the MF or not and keeping incentives/offers information from you.

After that, I'd go on the leasehackr forums and see what other people are getting on their S3 leases. Also, there are at least 3 Audi dealer fleet managers on there that I know of that you can directly message (DonnyAudi, IvanAudi, Samaudibh). I'd shoot them a message with what you're looking for. Those guys know that you're looking to hack a lease deal and get as close to 1% of the MSRP as a monthly payment. You can get a good baseline deal to work with from them before you hit up the dealer(s) you want to pick up your car from in your area.. or hopefully, they offer you something you cant refuse.

Also, use leasehackr's lease calculator to figure out if everything is adding up correctly and what kind of realistic deal you can achieve by plugging in the information you got from Edmunds and % off MSRP the dealers are quoting you.
