Whats y'alls favorite OBD2 scanner? I'm currently using the Ancel BD310 and its been pretty good for me. I'd like a reader with more auxiliary gage function though.

    I second VCDS. Been using one for 10 years across a variety of Audi's. S4's, A4, A6, Q5. Can't beat it

For our Audi I use the VCDS as well.

Any of our other cars I just go down to Autozone and borrow their code reader.

add another vote for VCDS. Its much more than just a scanner and well worth the money.

As everyone else has said, VCDS will give you the most comprehensive information; however, if you are looking for something more consumer-friendly, FIXD is a pretty good option for a fraction of the price of VCDS. FIXD uses an iOS/Android app, has diagnostics scanning, and also plenty of live gauges. VCDS requires a Windows computer and is not as user-friendly as a phone app.

Will FIXD reset the service reminder like you can with VCDS or OBD11?

For scanning and *some* one click customizations, Carista is a very reasonable option. You pay for the app via an annual subscription and it connects to a generic OBD dongle (or buy one of theirs, but it is not necessary.)

I used it for several Audi's and VW's. It also works on some other brands as well.

Note, with my S7, I didn't renew the Carista subscription and went with OBDeleven due to it having more customizations.

As far as I know, it does not have that feature. I looked around in the app but could not find anything.

Anyone using VCDS mobile out there? I'm a Mac user and VCDS is PC only.

You don't need VCDS anymore. OBDeleven works on phones, is much easier to use, and much cheaper. (Like $100.) See the latter half of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc9NxLrL_Rw&t=1566s for a review.
