My old battery was agm but dealer is trying to sell me a lead acid. I’ll go with whatever is most commonly used here.
    Thanks

I bought the pepboys bosch battery last fall. Recoded with vcds and no issues. Think I spent like $180 usd (after tax and environmental fees) for the battery

I have a cheap acid battery that's been fitted for a couple years, no problems.

I tried an h8/49 lead acid from sams club I usually buy those battery for my older vag cars but in my 2011 A6 3.0 the battery seemed weak. The cranking time increased.

Did Audi give you a lead acid battery?
Was it a varta brand or VAO code?

I went with a Superstsrt AGM from O'Reilly's. I didn't have it coded. So far it's been solid.

Really expensive but I stick with interstate batteries. The warranty is great

Probably still cheaper than the dealer.

interstate batteries are the only way to go with Audi's not to say others won't work, but others wont last as long.
