TAG Motorsports || Project 2019 S4 || Build Thread!

If you know TAG Motorsports, you know we can’t say no to an Audi S4, S5, or RS5. With the new B9.5 coming out we decided to pick up another TAG Motorsports project S4. This time we went a little understated in the overall scheme, but still with the proper parts from the proper manufactures.

While we were under the hood installing a healthy dose of AWE goods such as exhaust, intercooler, intake, and more we were getting the ABT Power Upgrade Kit dialed in. We were also getting the emblems and front reflectors painted to blend in properly with the new exterior touches.

OEM Audi mirror caps and rear spoiler were added to tie in with the rear Deval Carbon fiber diffusor. To complete this build, it is all about the wheels. We went with HRE 305 Classic wheels in Brushed Dark Clear Outer with Frozen Stone Face. But before that, we decided to install a Brembo Front Big Brake Kit while going with Stoptech Rotors for the rear.

Looks like we are ready for the summer, but knowing us, our builds change and of course, we will keep you updated when they do!

It's a sorta facelift model, not the full post-facelift model. Audi did 3 rounds on the S4, the car above is round 2.

not to hijack the treat but here’s my .02$
They call it an ECU because their piggyback comes dressed as a secondary ECU with its own (piggy back harness) my results were better than my stock numbers but not as good as you will get from the JB4 or a full tune. I have consistently run 4.0x and 12.3 and low 12.4. It’s got better response but not mind blowing like a tune. Just a good update to the stock car. It’s crazy expensive but I’m happy with my choice.

Yeah, The ABT kit was based much more on reliability than it was proving to produce the highest gain.

Pretty aggressive set up. I’m curious to see what your experience is with rubbing... on this set up. (Keep it clean...) I’m guessing there’s some, right? I would love to run the same set up but I’m afraid of rubbing (the idiot in me is giggling).

I'm rubbing on 19x9.5J, ET35 with 265/35/19 PS4S. I think they'll definitely rub a bit.

OP I apologize, I know we’re digressing from the topic but how bad is the rubbing? Because your set up is my “fall back”. If I want to run 265s would you recommend it or should I just accept that 255s is what I’m going to have to live with without modding?

Interesting, that's good to know. Somebody has recommended I adjust for some negative camber - I'm on stock suspension at the moment.

Brembo makes compatible for these cars. Yes, 380 and 6-piston. Let me know if interested as we do a ton a with Brembo and happy to help in any way!
