Rear Cargo Cover Repair?

My rear cargo cover seems to have lost its spring pre-load. It will not retract in to the cover holder.

I took it apart and nothing seems missing, but it doesn't seem to have a way to re-establish the pre-load. Anyone ever deal with this?

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but if you decide to just buy a new one, get it off of ebay.co.uk, not anywhere in the US. Dealers want $600+ and they don't pop up in the classifieds often. I bought a cargo cover and partition for my B9 from eBay UK and got both for around $200. Lots more wagons in Europe, so these are abundant on the used market there.

I actually took it apart and fixed it myself. The spring had come loose from the end caps. It's not a hard job, but it's not easy either. You have to drill out the rivets and take off the end caps, re-set the spring, set the pre-load and re-assemble with rivets.
