Does anyone had or have a door rattle/tap on uneven roads? it's driving me nuts. seems to be the front passenger door only. if i touch it and press while driving it stops. does it need foam somewhere or could it be the passenger door speaker?

Lol I have this as well in my 12 coupe. Happens more when it's hot outside and rarely when it's cold.

Annoying af! No idea how to fix without tearing the door apart but mine is definitely on the arm rest cushion of the passenger door.

It is surprisingly easy but a bit terrifying to take the door panel off. Search youtube for videos on how to take it off. Only a few screws.

It's a bit terrifying because the clips are strong so you gotta pull with some force. When I did took my passenger door panel off to add some sound insulation, I thought I might damage something with the force required to pull.

However, if you watch the youtube videos that show exactly where the clips are, and use those plastic pry tools made specifically for this purpose, it's not bad. You'll get the hang of it and confidence after the first 1 or 2 clips.

There are various threads on here about this but they might be hard to search.

I had this issue and it was kind of a “crap shoot”. I ended up putting some felt tape around the speaker and wrapping the wires with it as well.

It helped but it would still come back occasionally...not nearly as often. It finally went away 100% after I installed my new exhaust and pulled the fuse for the soundaktor (artificially introduces engine noise into the cabin) system. It could have been coincidence but it has been a year now and the noise has never come back.

I had a rattle. Turns out some RANDOM BOLT came off and was rattling around. I pulled the bottom of the door card slightly and tapped around and out came a bolt!

this happens to a lot of cars. just take the door card off and take a look. usually you will find something loose and just tighten it up. or sometimes it is a loose wire put some tape on it and you are good to go. also generally all the rattles are gonna be different. also check the plastic clips sometimes broken ones can rattle cause they are not affixed to the door card well. replace as necessary

I had a rattle coming from inside my door card as well. It ended up being the LED diode for the interior pull handle.

I fixed it by pulling off the door card and filling in any gaps with this 3M Window Weld. I ended up putting the sealer around every plastic clip or potentially rattly bit. I didn't want to ever hear any stupid rattle again.

It's been about 2 months of pure, blissful, silence.859381814.jpeg

had this issue with The Wife's 2011 A5.
it got progressively worse over time.
had a relay replaced, fixed it.

as for rattle, many times it is the felt wiper on the door sill.

Update on Rattle. had my dad sit on the passenger seat and he figured it out. it was not the door. the rattle is coming from the moonroof on the passenger side. when he put pressure on it, it stopped.
