    B9 A4 2016 steering wheel swap

Hi all, looking to change my current round steering wheel to a flat bottom one. My question is does the replacement wheel need to be one from an A4 or does Audi use the same flat bottom steering wheel for all its Audi’s? I currently have the round airbag steering wheel. Attached is a link to a flat bottom steering wheel I have seen on eBay from a 2017 A3, will this fit my B9 A4 2016?
    Thanks in advance

Not the same for all Audi but there is some cross over.

I installed an RS3 flatbottom steering wheel on my B9 A4 Allroad. In my case I needed a different airbag bc mine came stock with the square/trapezoid airbag.

So the things to try and figure out is if your airbag is the same or similar enough for the new flatbottom. And also be sure to pay attention to the buttons and try to match. The new B9.5 facelifts have diff buttons and I'm not sure they work or not.

There is a similar wheel to the one you posted that comes stock on B9 S4/A4 as well.

    B9 A4 2016 steering wheel swap

I also installed an RS3 wheel into my B9.

Luckily I could re use my round air bag and all the buttons and shift paddles. The gloss black plastic button surround was the only part I couldn’t re use (as I realised too late after wiring the buttons in )

The one you linked to is from an 8V A3 just like the 8V RS3 I got my wheel from so I’d say you should be sweet. Just check all the buttons are the same as your current wheel. I have the virtual cockpit so made sure I had the “view” button to save any messing about.

Feel free to message me via Instagram @_baz for any install questions as I only did the swap last weekend and it’s pretty fresh in my mind (for now lol)

Thanks for the response, my current steering wheel has the round airbag not the square one so should be ok with the one I want to change it with.

My car doesn't have virtual cockpit so I don't need the steering wheel to have this button do I? Here is a picture of a steering wheel I found on google and its exactly the same as the one I have now. My current steering wheel has shift paddles and the one from the A3 on eBay has them too.

I love those flat bottom wheels so much, but it’s a deal-killer for me for them to not be able to be heated. I know, so extra 😂
