Not sure what you’re asking. I have a ‘16 S-line and I don’t see any difference in the steering wheel?

Happen to be sitting in my 2016 right now so here is my facelift euro s-line wheel with paddles. Plug and play (but you need the facelift airbag for this conversion)

I couldn’t find any S3 steering wheels for a decent price, so I got a brand new Q3/SQ3 S-line steering wheel with paddles from Europe.
Plug and play, no coding necessary, worked immediately after install.

What did that cost? I only found beat up ones, or ones that were highly customized and expensive?

I have a set of Q3 paddles and I’m waiting on my Q3 multi switches from Germany to see if I can fit them to my wheel.

I got my wheel off eBay from a seller in Sweden.
I paid $450 shipped to my door if I remember correctly.
And it got to me very quickly, good packaging and brand new!
    Has been working flawlessly.

    Yup, same one.
And yes, I installed it myself.
There are many videos on how to do it, it’s a lot easier than it seems.
Just take your time with it and make sure you disconnect the battery first...don’t want that airbag in your face lol

I did read somewhere on here that the wheel you buy should have the same button configuration as you currently have or it wont work? Like if your car doesnt have nav button and the wheel you buy does, then you'll have dead buttons and cant switch yours over due to different plugs in the wheel. Is that true or just an early assumption that has been found untrue?

Yes I’ve seen lots of posts about this and it looks like you have to be carefull about the year and the button layout. I believe 2012 too 2016 wheels are pretty interchangeable between those years, but after 2017 you start to get many different button layout including the virtual cockpit steering wheels. The one I just placed an order for (linked above) is good for 2012 to 2016 assuming your button layout and airbag is the same.

Yep. That button layout works for me. I just want flat bottom. Which i am finding many with nav buttons, and some with no buttons so hard to tell. I'm not in the market for one immediately so it isnt a problem. Just wanting all the info for next spring when i am.

That was you?! LMAO, I was watching that wheel on ebay, went to buy it, and it was gone haha! Too funny. I ended up getting a PFL RS3 wheel one of the facebook groups from Europe for not much more though.

As far as the buttons, the layout is the same, the configuration you're referring to is if FL steering wheel has the "view" button, it's for a virtual cockpit car, and I'm not sure that'll work with a non virtual cockpit car. As others have said, make sure you're getting a wheel with the PFL, larger airbag, so you can resuse your current airbag. You can do the FL one with the smaller airbag, and it's all plug and play, you just need the smaller airbag as well.

I have a set of Q3 paddles and I’m waiting on a set of Q3 multi switches to see if I can adapt them to my A3 PFL wheel because I’m not lucky enough to find a good deal on an entire wheel.
