So I recently purchased kyacks for my wife and I. I am looking for a roof rack to put on my B8 A4 to transport them. I see options around, but very expensive and kinda confusing. Can someone point in my the right direction? Thanks!

I bought a set of OEM bars a while a go. I think I found them from a dealer in the UK for 300-400 shipped.

I also run a set of OEM roof bars sourced from my local dealership and use a Thule Outride bike mount, as well as a Thule fairing to reduce wind noise. Being that attachments for bikes and kayaks are fairly universal you can usually find them on craigslist pretty cheap and save some money. The roof bars are harder to find though so new is often the best route with those.

I'm actually going to be selling a set of roof bars. I haven't listed them for sale yet. They are Yakima Whispbars and come with the "flush" feet attachments for b8 and b8.5 a4/s4, so they are low profile. If you are interested we can talk over pm.
