anyone planning to try GF-6 engine oil?

I'm going to try it on the next change GF-6A 5w-30 for the B8.
I hear it is good for DI engines in keeping deposits buildup down, and better lubrication of internals in general.

It is probably too new to say, but the info I've read sounds good for DI motors.
    Any thoughts?

*sorry- I mean "planning to try"

Which brand do you plan to go with?

According to the Pennzoil website, the limits for GF-6 oil have not been fully established yet, so oils cannot be certified at this time.

I doubt there is much benefit compared to any known high quality oil today.

Rotella T6 5w-40 has always been my go to oil for years on turbo cars.

it seems to be developed specifically to address some problems with DI motors, with key improvements in DI stress points.
    Seems promising.

"In particular, GF-6 provides improved protection against low speed pre-ignition and timing chain wear that smaller modern turbocharged gasoline direct injection engines were experiencing with GF-5"

Sounds promising but we won't know for sure until the parameters are set and Audi gets around to certifying it. Be sure to report back if you do go that route.
