OBD11 Code U111100 Function Limitation due to Missing Message

    Hi,

    AUDI A7 2013 3.0 TFSI

I've had the above code for over a year and I've been unable to reset it. It's under the Brakes module.

Anybody has any idea what it means and/or hiw to reset it?

Thank you very much in advance.

Missing message means that this module is not working properly because either

Another module Is down (no communication)
Or there’s another code somewhere in another module triggering this can you do a full system scan?
Also do you have any issues with the car or lights on the dash?

This. In my experience this message comes up when interconnected modules aren’t talking to each other right. This could either be due to malfunction or incorrect coding in one or more of the modules. Did you replace anything or do any kind of coding changes? This happened to me when my front camera took a crap. Not only did I have a malfunction in the camera, I had a missing message code in the image processor. When I replaced the camera I coded it wrong and I had multiple missing message faults in all the interconnected modules until it was correct.

Usually if there is a fault in an other module the error is "Function Restriction due to Faults in Other Modules".
I thought this one (Function Limitation due to Missing Message ) was a UDS specific message and meant more like the software (in this case OBD11) could not interpret the fault, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, one possible solution from what I've read is to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and go from there.

Yeah you’re right. However like I said when my camera went I did have the missing message fault. I had more when I installed the new camera plus the calibration needed fault. Specifically image processor, ACC, ALA. it was due to me accidentally ticking the block for air suspension installed. Then I realized that fault was basically the other modules not understanding why the top camera was saying I had air suspension.

    Thanks all for your replies.
I haven't done any coding so I doubt that would be the reason. I will try disconnecting the battery to see if I am able to reset it.

Can you do a full scan see if it has other code somewhere?

Hi. Yes, I've done a few full scans and they all come clean except for this code.

You need vcds, do a complete auto scan. Save the log and post it here. I’ll help you solve it. Easy peazy
