Help coding MMI

Today I went to Audi and had them remove CP on a 3G+ unit I bought and received today, get everything in and working but not properly. I did factory reset the unit so I have to update the firmware but I’m having a couple problems like no back up camera and very dim MMI screen, which for some reason the controls for that are backwards? I raise the brightness it lowers and vice verse. I also plan to install my B&O retrofit this week and hopefully everything works well with that (planning on buying ross tech cable ASAP) my car is premium plus no B&O currently and 6 speed manual, if anyone has done the 3G+ retro on there B8 and can send there coding you’d be a life saver! I also updated the climate control and got that al to work but no more visuals on the MMI screen. Search and you find everything, for dim screen you need to enter green menu(you find script online for activation) under display remove tickbox or opposite way and restart the system.

Sounds like the long coding got wiped out. This is the long coding I have in mine: 11020000020681EF45028B4E00000403140000000000000000

Should be pretty close. As for the A/C that is something else that needs to be coded separately.

Thanks guys I just bought a rosstech cable should be here on Friday, rn I’m updating the system to the current firmware seeing if that brings anything back hopefully. I have Carista so that can help me get green menu till then and try to fix the screen dim like you said

Should be pretty close. As for the A/C that is something else that needs to be coded separately.

I did exactly what you are doing. I have two issues. The MMi doesn’t turn on everything I start the car. Some presses of the car button and it turns on but the gps is usually off.

Second is the back up camera. It worked until I finally got sound. Now it doesn’t. We should definitely compare coding at some point.

I can share whatever you want. I’ve just dealt with my issues since I have sound now and didn’t have the camera originally.

Also. Do NOT change any coding without documenting what’s there now even though you e change components. It gets super easy to forget. Have you checked out The Infiltrators thread?

Yes obviously do an auto scan when you get the VCDS cable and save it to document any existing coding. But I am betting it's all zeroes. This is the exact behavior my MMI had when the dealer tried to code it after doing the CP removal. ODIS generated the code it thought was correct and then nothing worked after that point. It wrote all zeroes. Had to get coding off another member here with a similar optioned car to me.

This is exactly what I’m thinking, we had to set the MMI back to a basic setting after we took the cp off because of some issue it wasn’t connecting; did you end up sorting all the issues out? I would definitely like to see if your coding was compatible if your car was similar. Mines a 2010 premium plus s4 6 speed no push to start no B&O has the navi. I am also doing the B&O retro so I think I’ll have to change some coding when that comes along anyway.

Update to this, bought a firmware update can’t even update the system because it won’t accept the update. Had to buy an sd card to.. just my luck lol hope this coding helps me

You can take rand0mher0 mmi coding and copy paste, it is easy to tick/untick options later with vcds which are not the same, as all bits regarding car options are documented(you can see and read) in vcds etc...hidden bits remain same anyway!

Just coded it with yours and worked pretty well I appreciate the help, just trying to sort a couple small things

Okay so got everything working and even the ADS but I can’t select any of the other options not sure if anyone knows the fix for this, been searching around can’t seem to find this problem and ADS button does not work Image1587758779.009897.jpg
