Anyone??? How close have you come? I raced a Hellcat Redeye on an empty strip of highest today and we let both off just over 180mph. He pulled on me in the beginning (surprised me as I didn’t think he wanted to race) but as we got going faster, he started falling off. Those are 1/4 mile cars. I’m APR stage 1, Milltek exhaust and ROC intakes. I’m curious if I had enough room could I hit 200mph? Will an RS6/7 do it? Will an RS turbo’d S6/7 do it? What’s the consensus?

There's no shortage of videos on YouTube of guys going over 200 in the RS7. It's completely doable.

I’d like to do that! Lol, and I’m asking if anyone here has. I was totally shocked how stable it was at that speed. I did 160 a few weeks ago and think it actually felt more hunkered down as it went faster this time. At no time did I feel like it was getting squirrelly.

This is why Audi’s are autobahn monsters. Cars designed for a country with a highway that has no speed limit. I’m sure dude in his hellcat was shitting himself.

Lol this. I don't think it's *exactly* the same hardware, but my 2018 Jeep SRT I had got crazy at high speeds. You did not feel in control at all. It was almost as if they took an offroad-meant vehicle and threw a monstrous engine in it ;) Wasn't meant to go 100+. 50mph in the Jeep felt like 100, but 100mph in the Audi feels like 30. But that's actually the *exact* reason I rolled back to an S6 - Audis have soooooo much better handling and control and smoothness. Who'da thought? haha. It's actually so extreme that I had to get built in radar detector bc my speed would creep up so much. My wife: how fast you going? Me: shit, way faster than I thought I was lol

Did 167 or 176 in a RS7 before a dickhead decided my lane was better than the empty lane he was in. It felt like a jet slowing down so quickly.

THIS! A driver in Ontario got pulled over this past week after passing the cops at 170ish mph in a hell at... and then blew a rear tire going that fast right after.

Imagine how crappy that car rides at 170, then factor in 3 working wheels! Lucky he didn't kill himself. Cops took the car... And his license!

As for me... Stage 2 RS7 and have had it at 179mph. Drove butter smooth. Wasn't even close to topping out. I'd be interested to see what it would do with enough open road

So I did 198 on my s6 Revo stage 1. In my Rs7 I was managed to maxed out at 180 however it was blocked at that speed. I recently did stage two on it and few days ago I hit 187 but was too scared of hided cop to get it going. But the need for speed is stronger than me.

I hit a touch over 150 in my 1997 Cobra once. Stock it is drag limited to 149 but mine wasn't stock. It was still climbing hard at 150 and I never did find the top end. I was young and dumb. Now that I am married with kids and grandkids, don't think I will ever try something like that again.

1 slight problem at those speeds and your kids will be cashing in their inheritance.

Hit an indicated 180 a few times on my 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX12 when I was single and willing to take chances. Had a bit more to go. On my S6 have not crossed 120. Would like to explore its potential but not on an interstate.

One time, late at night, in a highway in Mexico, I hit 176 MPH. That was enough for me. The whole car was as calm and collected as if I were driving 70; barely any wind noise.

Smooth as velvet ride, and felt in control the whole time. But I must say, it WAS the first time that becoming airborne ever crossed my mind. I used my brakes foolishly and can only imagine they were glowing. Replaced all rotars and pads, but Def impressive for a 3.0

202 mph (325 km/h) several times with my RS6 sedan stage 2 MRC. Depending on the road architecture and wind force at those speeds the car feels sometimes slightly unstable (it feels like it needs a spoiler/wing to keep the rear more stable). You can feel a slight balance in the rear due to air currents (nothing big, just a feeling under your bottom, but not a pleasant one). Car still feels like it has enough power reserve to go further.

I ran into that same feeling in my old B6A4. It was stoked to 2.0, ported/polished head, fully forged bottom end, 35r etc etc. At about 150 it started feeling light in the rear

    Update
Only 196mph. What killed my 200 attempt was the hesitation. To do it or not. So when I decided to go as fast as I could the traffic Start getting bigger so I had to let it go. Here in us people don’t look in the mirror and the left line is not the fastest for many.

No wind noise at all?? Then maybe it is a S/RS6 (mirror issue) thingy but i thought they all started making this humming noise once you go past 260-280km/h.

I had that same car, same year, same tune, with just a cold air intake and thermostat. I don’t have an S6, I have a 2016 stage 2 A6. The SRT seat of the pants did feel quicker, but I have decided it’s simply because the A6 (and I’m sure S6) are way smoother and more refined. You don’t realize how quickly the speedo is rising in the Audi. Even with factory exhaust and just cold air intake, the SRT growled loudly and the whole car shook, and chirped the tires all the way through 3rd gear sometimes because of rwd. I’m sure side by side my A6 would easily take it, and I’m sure your S6 would destroy it. There is something really, really fun about driving a raw American V8 that you don’t get with a luxury car, even if the luxury car is car lengths ahead lol.

    203 in my old supra.

Haven't gone above 90 in my s7...about 12 years of growing up made doing things like that on the interstate no longer sensible, and no track worth anything is near me.

actually my buddy has a hellcat widebody 6spd and I did 193 MPH in it and it was the most stable of any car that i've ever been in at speed. he has a tuned 911 turbo and its nowhere near as stable as the boat. ( edit- his is also on H&R springs) and 325 R triple 8's. Definitely fun and scary won't do it again for a while, anything goes wrong you're dead. but may as well enjoy my time with no kids, for me in my F-type 140 is really where I stop most of the time, did 171 once in it and that's the limited top speed, did not feel great, doubt ill try again. Speed is fun but you have to be well aware of the risks and make sure your vehicle is up for it, especially tires, such as proper tread, correct pressure and alignment. Stay safe everyone and enjoy your speed demonds
