B9.5 - bumper trim black optics, matte black or carbon fiber replacement?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Any aftermarket options to replace the chrome accent trim on the front bumper? I'm looking for matte/black optics, or carbon fiber.

Yes, there are full black optic items to do away with the silver alu trims:

    Bumper Grilles | A5 S-Line, S5 Post-Facelift Black Optic

Items up on the site so far for the post-facelift models and more coming soon:

    A5, S5, RS5 B9.5 | '20+ Parts

I have not seen any aftermarket carbon fiber items yet and Audi does not have anything for the A/S models like they do for the RS models.

If you or anyone has any questions do let me know here or via PM/email: [email protected]

    Cheers,
Is this a direct fitment for the 18 S5 SB Prestige model with senors and camera for US? Does there need to be any modifications required to make it fit or is it direct bolt on fit? I was on your website and it has this note "*Note that for S5 models with a forwards facing camera the existing grey camera trim must be painted to match." Can you please explain which part needs to be painted? I just picked up the car yesterday and dont know anything yet about the car. Learning about it as i go. Details would be helpful and a pic to understand which ones you speaking about.

    Thank you,

I’m not sure why Audi chose to make the design like this, where the trim goes across the body line. I think it looks so bad. And I really do not mean any offense to the face lifted owners.

@mdc160 - As not to mix pre and post-facelift model information I have sent you a PM directly with information.

bumping an old thread but does anyone know how to remove these trim pieces/"fog grilles"? does it require removal of the front bumper or is there a way to snap them out easier? wanted to see if it's easy enough to remove to make it easier for paint/wrap.

The "aluminum" surround is a component part of the whole side grill piece on the facelift sport bumpers.

The facelift sport bumper side grills are 8W6807681T left / 8W6807682T right, with color code 3Q7 for the aluminum surround or color code T94 for the polished black surround. For B9.5 A5/S5. The 8W0... ones are for B9.5 A4/S5.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/194251426012

But it appears the surround can be separated, though no idea if non-destructively. As one without the surround here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274987732131

Removal uses a pair of "3370" tools. https://audi.snapon.com/SpecialTools...temId=14520115 I assume it's got some kind of hook on the end.

    This is great info, thanks!

Has anyone pulled one out? I'm wondering if those tools are needed or not.

Looks like your from Toronto, one advise i have is get a quote from your local Audi dealership. Europrice is a great! site but its in USD I found it much cheaper getting the parts locally. No conversion or duties.

Robin at Queensway Audi was very helpful

I bought mine from ebay, it was about $200 for the pair. Perfect fitment!

Did you pull the pull the side grills out yourself? Was the tool needed?

I'm worried about messing up the sensors once I pull the bumper off. As far as i can tell if i disconnect the battery i should be fine. There isn't much b9.5 info, unfortunately.
