Cool Which intake has better/louder sounds?

    Hey everyone!

I know the Roc-Euro is supposedly the loudest, but i was hoping for something a little better looking if not stock looking.

The options i know of are :

    RS7 Intake box
    Roc-Euro
AWE S-Flo Version 2 with the new air holes on top
Eventuri (i heard of laminate peeling into the engine, kind of straying away from that one)

    I currently have a 2013 S7.

I'm not really interested in any HP gains, since i'm not tuning or looking for a loud exhaust, i would really just love a nice intake "woosh" sound, and if i could get that out of the AWE S-Flo intake that would be great. As that one seems to be on the top part of my list. Is the S-Flo intake louder than the RS7 Intake box?

I would love the Roc-Euro for its sound, but i feel like they don't look all that great, and i keep reading about engine heat. which also is kindof a bummer.

    Go with srm.

Roc euro has sound, but no proven gains.

Awe has had some issues with power loss on intake v1. V2 has yellowing/cracking issues.

Eventuri most likely has yellowing issues. And is $2k.

Isn’t SRM’s Intake something to do with replacing more than just a intake? If I recall correctly aside from the air box and piping you have to remove something else as well. Please correct me if I’m wrong

SRM intakes replace stock turbo inlets with bigger ones. If you are looking for performance gains and sound, get SRM. If you are just looking for sound, choose a cheapest one like CTS.

If you want to do it on the cheap, simply upgrading to a K&N filter on my car made it louder at WOT. With the windows down, you can really hear this thing sucking air.

I hated roc euro. Had it for 10 mins and sold it.

But of course that is a personal preference. If you want loud noise, that has it. I don't know about SRM sound. I have rs7 box and rs7 inlets and it sounds just as I want it.

Does the rs7 inlets and box sound louder than s7?

Using the stock intake box? And just putting away K&n filter inside?

    Yes louder.

You can search my name and see a thread where I put vent holes in stock s7 box too and it was louder with k&n filter.

Yes. Keep in mind I've got an RS7 not S7, so I'm sure the different intake helps too.

If you are s7, you just need the airbox. Inlets won’t hurt of course.

I went stage 3 so inlets were needed
