Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
A6 3.0Ters who have attempted brake torque launches -- please respond:

    1. Are you stock or tuned? If tuned, stage 1 or stage 2 (pulley upgrade)?
    2. Do you launch with traction control disabled (full ESP off)?
    3. What RPMs do you see before torque converter lock up?
    4. What is car's behavior upon launch?
    5. What RPM does car shift at for gears 1-2 after brake torque launch?
    6. Any noteworthy issues (slow shifts, short shifts, limp mode, etc.)?

    Thanks!

u can launch our ZF only if boost is hidden from ECU. If u have like 2100hpa+ requested boost, all car will do is just a lil jump till 5mph, then for 0.1 sec will close da throttle, then floor it again. That means u won't get better acceleration than start from idle.
The only way way to get better 0-60 is to start from 1200-1400rpms and simultaneously flooring and releasing da break.

Thank you. That's what I've noticed as well. My best 1/4 times were all after launching from idle. Always saw odd results when I brake torqued on launch. Recently was doing some testing and gave brake torquing another go. The car ended up lurching forward before going into limp mode.

Glad someone taken time to reply as i just purchased a dragy. Not many on here post 1/4 mile times for these models. Once I work out these errors 01314 will report with my conclusion as well.

Here is launch with boost. Very fast, less then 3.9 sec 0-60mph (4.07 sec 0-100)
