    Audi WiFi connection issue

    Hey guys!

So I have Weird issue where when I try to connect to my car’s Wi-Fi it doesn’t give me any Internet connection according to my phone. Telling me that I need to reset my router/car but my Google Maps overlay and 3G says it’s connected. I Heard that you don’t need the Audi connect subscription to make Wi-Fi work. For some reason it’s not letting me connect my phone. I was hoping to connect my passport Max 360 C to the Wi-Fi in the future which is why am trying to set up it now.

Do I need to edit my APN settings?

Hopefully maybe someone here can help me? Thank you so much!

I checked mine. You need to add your T-Mobile username and password I believe.

I believe you need the audi connect subscription for wifi to work properly as it is just a hotspot not a full wifi network ie. two devices on the wifi can't communicate with one another.
I think 3G will always show the signal strength as long as you have a sim card in and the google maps could be cached.
I recall someone had a small wifi router+hotspot setup in the glovebox so they did not have to use t-mobile+3G, but I'd think it would be easier just to setup the hotspot on your phone and have things connect to that for internet access.
