Thanks for the video, but I’m asking what makes them different from the original? How are they heated? What additional connections are needed to make them heated? Do they fit exactly same or is any modifications needed to make them fit (is the adapter for fitment or connection)?

It differs in that the original water comes out of three positions, in these water is sprayed on most of the windshield, heating is in every car audi a4 a5.
The connection is p & p, just unplug the plug from heating the plug from the water.

Washers are smaller than the original ones, adding an adapter makes the size the same as OEM.

If you need to use them make sure the adapter is completely seated on the edge of the hole closest to the windshield.
If it snaps out into the interior of the hood it is sometimes impossible to retrieve.
If you are lucky you can see it and fish it out with tweezers but I still have one somewhere in my hood.

For the record Piotr has been consistently great to deal with.

Do you have a video with these on? I bought a few and they're terrible. Supposedly adjustable but they shoot streams of water way too low.

Maybe you bought an aftermarket, the ones I have are original, They have height adjustments, I have a movie from another car a4 b6 But they are the same.

There is a heater in the nozzle, if yours has a 2-pin plug, you are heated too

Yes you can retrofit, I'm sure you have heated, it seems to me that all audi b8 in the usa had heated.
Edit:
I didn't notice you're from Canada, you need to check that, I don't know what options went to Canada.
