Gonna tackle leaking valve cover tomorrow and replacement PCV ( Vaico failed after 2 months ) . Already have the gasket and PCV plus Gasket and tomorrows quarantine project will be throwing it on.
dont have a manual for torque values
I bought the gasket 3 years ago for when i did the timing chain. I said screw it and put old one back and it lasted 3 years .. lol .

10Nm is the correct torque value.

    Edit: 10Nm confirmed: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...=1#post5526386

Please note the bolt tightening sequence as well.

Right on Iceman. Hope it goes smoothly
Doing mine on Sunday. Guess it's the perfect Ontario weekend for a valve cover refresh!

Got it. thanks guys. I've been torquing covers for years..... Anyone who has owned an air cooled 911 and has to torque valve covers knows this stuff like science. Let me guess. Start in the middle , criss cross pattern working to the ends ?.
10nm.... Got it. And I have a mini beam torque wrench and it's my favorite tool.
    So tactile.

Just be careful, strip really easy. Had a 3/8" torque wrench, set to 8lbs, or whatever it is, and stripped one in the middle. Luckily it don't leak, all new bolts. Will fix one day when it becomes an issue, if ever. Best to use a 1/4" drive for something that small. Or even go a hair under, it is a rubber gasket, don't need much.

Also, I have learnt a lesson about not to use Victor Heinz branded gasket. I bought it even though many people had issues with them because it was on sale at FCP EURO for 7$. it started leaking in about 12k miles and just about an year.
