if you have EPC light on make sure throttle body is connected as well as the cam position sensor and check all your power management fuses. there should be 3 of them any of them blown your car wont start. Also if you have a blown fuse look at your coil pack harness chances are its shorted this is common on higher mileage vehicles.

Been there and done that. With the age of our cars you probably have messed up the coil pack harness wiring during the course of your head swap.
Buy one of these (Amazon is a source) and test out your coils AND wiring with the same tool...
If they are not damaged it is still a MUST for any B6 owner to test out their coil packs/wiring because they are a known source of headaches and pointless spending. At least if something goes wrong you can track it down with minimum headaches.
NOTE - BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS TOOL BECAUSE THE WIRING IS SOLDERED TO THE BULB CHEAPLY YOU MIGHT HAVE TO RETURN OR BETTER RE-SOLDER IT YOURSELF FOR BETTER LONGEVITY... Enjoy easy coil and harness testing everyone!
