Started some maintenance chasing some oil leaks which are pretty common on this engine. Previous to this work, the Oil Filter Housing Seals had been done. (Part#079103121BE ; N90959701) These engine blocks are almost identical to that of the R8 and Hurrican, therefore reminders of this pedigree while working on this beast is mandatory. 2 Turbos and a dry sump oil system are nearly all that separate us from the legendary C6 RS6 engine. Lots of components coming off and expect to replace quite a few one time use bolts and plastic clips. I will try to reference OEM parts wherever possible.
The Plan:
-Front Main Seal (079103051F) x1
-Oil Cooler Seals (079103121AD) x2
-Oil Control Valve Seals (WHT002789) x4
-Harmonic Balancer Bolts (N91005903) x8
-Cleaning
Added Parts
-Ribbed Belt (07L903137E)
-Belt Idler (079903341F)
-Belt Tensioner (07L903133H)
-Small Terminal (N10335807) x 20
-Repair Wire (000979131E) x 20
-Runner Position Sensor Connectors (3D0973703) x2
-Throttle Body Connectors (1J0973713) x 2
-Alternator OEM
-Alternator In/Out Seals (WHT 001 225) x2
-Thermostat
-Lower Radiator hose

Front Main Seal

What a pain this was, Ill be sure to get the Audi special tool for this one next time, Ill be on the lookout for the tools (T40019 ; T40048). I wound up cutting most of the seal in half with a Xacto knife. FYI My seal puller I couldn't use until I cut the seal halfway because you cannot put pressure or mark the aluminum or crank surface by prying with a conventional puller.

I wound up rewiring the throttle body connectors to the harness, was getting some EPC and traction control lights (safe mode) intermittently, I replaced the suspect throttle body with used OEM and ultimately rewiring was the fix. Also I wound up rewiring the Runner Control Sensors and 1 of the Knock Sensors as some damaged insulation was found and cracking of the wiring. Also, the codes Im getting show runners stuck closed, this is on my 3 year old "Revision M" manifold from 2016. I may need to buy another or see what Audi will do for warranty. Took some time to add wiring loom to some missing wiring around the Intake Manifold that has deteriorated off, C6 S6 owners know what Im talking about.

I will update the thread as progress continues. Long live the C6 S6!
