    My 2012 A7

What surprises me is what little work has been done on it.

Previous owner maintained it through the local Audi dealer. We purchased it at 142K. Outside of routine maintenance it hasn't been in the shop a lot. Normal 10K interval maintenance stuff. Front right and back right wheel bearings. Fuel pump recall, normal brake replacement work. Recently I replaced the trans cooler coolant bypass solenoid. I am probably going to replace the tensioners this spring and maybe timing chains but otherwise its in good shape. Carbon cleaning was done around 100K, coolant around 115K. Still has the original trans and diff fluids but I plan to change those this summer.

Motor mounts are original, possibly has the original water pump, original vehicle battery, original PCV. I found in the maintenance log that they replaced the water pump gasket but the pump itself was not listed in the parts replaced list which I found odd.

    Driven daily regardless of weather.

    Wow! Nice.
The original battery surprises me most.
Would be cool if you could pull CAN module 19 block 22 I'd be curious to see the energy throughput.

Seems the newer VCDS does not do blocks so I pulled some measurement data. Battery charge status was 72%.

Still hanging on seems. I know Apple says to replace the iPhone battery below 70% is my basis for that comment

i'd be careful about fluid changes at this point......I known people who've done the very same thing with high mileage cars/trucks and some didn't like the new stuff. leaks and all kinds of weird stuff. Now adding to something that is low that's different. If a cars tranny and diff. oil has been changed out during it's like that's different but if this is truly first time at 200k i'd be nervous about doing it.

    I have now 192K miles in my A7 3.0TDI.

    Replaced ”over normal” service:
    - Turbocharger
    - S-Tronic clutch plates
    - S-Tronic Mechatronics
    - Rear bags for suspension

Timing chain is also original. Little rattling noise when starting engine which is caused by leaking gasket of tensioner. It loses the pressure when car is longer time engine off. Going to change that tensioner next summer if it can be done above of the engine bay without taking whole engine off. If not I drive until it starts rattling loudly then swap 4.0TT.

Agreed. It’s suggested to leave the trans fluid alone after 100-120k Miles. However you are reaching the “lifetime” threshold for the transmission. I’m guessing 10 years/250k mile the B8 A4 section might have some insight on going beyond 200k miles with the ZF8 transmission.

This. My 08, beater accord has 240k on it and the only fluid I’ve changed is engine oil. Nothing else, I’ve never even checked the tranny fluid.

    That’s fantastic.

Part of me wishes I still had my S6, but I couldn’t mentally deal with the potential repair bills.
