Anyone ever add resonators/mufflers to awe touring?

I have AWE res DP and res catback but it's just too loud with headers.

The downpipe resonators are in the way of where people usually put the magnaflow/borla mufflers. Has anyone else manage to fit a resonator behind these, in the awe x pipe area? Or somewhere else?

How loud? I’m doing headers with a stock exhaust and a Borla XL at the baby resonators.

Damn, this is the set up that I'm contemplating - can you expand on why you don't like it? Is it the DB level, or is there some drone? (I believe you're 6MT...). Also what headers are you running?

I had
Tampa test pipes--->>Magnaflow Res XPIPE-->>Rear Resonators and it was just to loud and it sounded raspy above 3K. It did sound nice when below 3K and not getting on it
I added the stock center (suitcase)resonator back to its original spot (I had removed it when I had cats), and it sounds so much better,.It sounds good enough now that I'm done changing the set up.

My car has the stock exhaust, the downpipes are wrapped and I have the Mopar rubber dampers just after the magnaflow xpipe

what about replacing the DP resos with the borla? i feel like they don;t do much for volume, but help with rasp. i think there was someone here that added some small bottle style reso's towards the rear.. sierraquattro maybe?

All these are good options I've sort of thought about. This shit is all brand new so I'd rather not chop it up yet. Out of borla, stasis, miltek, which is quietest?

Milltek resonated by far the quietest exhaust i have heard in person. I installed it on my friends dual pulley b8.5. Stock like with better tone. stasis a step up from that in volume, but never ridden inside of a car with it. Just know a guy from town that has it. borla i have not heard in person, but thought it was a similar volume to the AWE Touring, but could be wrong since I dont have first hand experience. FWIW I have had on my own cars, AWE Track stock DP, AWE Touring Stock DP, AWE Touring non res DP, Milltek Non Res, AWE Touring Res DP all on my 6mt. Then AWE Touring stock DP on my DSG car for a month. If a Borla has AWE's tone with resonated downpipes, but a bit less volume I'd be real interested. I've heard Scorpion is also quiet.

def don't chop it up. i'd grab some used downpipes for $100, a borla pro xs for 120 and have a muffler shop weld it for under $200(?). if you like it, sell the AWE res downpipes and pocket some cash.

scorpion is really really quiet. crushes drone but has very little tone

Update. Switched my friend who has a stasis resonated catback and now I have literally 0 reason and almost 0 drone. Only problem is it's not really louder than a stock car... With headers.

I've always wanted to get my hands on a stasis exhaust. If its one of the newer versions, you can pull the sleeves out of the exhaust tips and it gets louder. Like the old "silencers" that ricer exhausts had.
