    door alignment?

On the exterior, if you run your hand on the paint starting from the rear quarter panel until it meets the posterior most part of the rear door, the door itself is protruding outward a bit from the body when fully closed. Thinking in terms of offset, the door has a slightly negative offset compared to the body of the car and is poking outward by a couple mm, but still noticeable. The rear doors aren't sagging or angled wrong, they just don't appear to be fully closed or flush with the body on that posterior most gap. Any suggestions? The striker plate on the body seems to be non adjustable.

This is how my doors are also. I think it is intentional.

Same with mine. Pretty sure it’s not intentional. As I don’t see the point of it. Just some good ol’ fit and finish from Audi

Ok so I had a similar issue on my S6. Mine was actually on the front door. All you need to do is open the door and adjust this:

Its on the car body. Loosen the 2 torx screws and move it in ever so slightly. Then retighten. Voila, flush door.

I believe it has every option available

I remember reading specs on one of the factory service manuals for the door alignment, as I had the same problem on a TT. factory specs call for a slight offset in the direction you notice, but you can get it closer to zero/flush if you desire by the method above but DO NOT use torx bits, they are triple square spline drive screws (you will strip with standard set of torx).

I believe they are M8 size. Use painters tape to mark the current edge top and side, loosen very slightly and tap inward until you see a small gap between the edge of the striker and the tape so you can track your progress. Small adjustments, re-tighten and test with door close.

Go too far and your door will be more difficult to close completely without slamming so take your time.

    Necro Bump...

Just noticed recently that while the passenger side doors are flush, I can push them in quite a bit. Was drying the car after washing and as I was dabbing the side, the door was moving in. Checked the driver's side and both are nice and tight. Tried moving the doors in, however, the screws are all the way on the inside range of their play. Any ideas?
