Working on an 06 A4 2.0T and need the torque spec for the bolts securing the flex plate to the crankshaft. This is an automatic transmission. No mention in my Bentley manual, always seems to be missing the info I need.. thanks

Flex plate to crankshaft bolt torque spec

    Pretty sure it’s 30Nm+90°.

    As in
    1) Torque all bolts to 30Nm in a star pattern.
    2) turn all bolts an extra 90°, again in a star pattern.

Bolts are single use, so make sure you use new ones! Also don’t forget the shims.

    This Is not correct.

I have confirmed torque by contacting the dealer

60nm (44ft/lbs) + 90 degrees for vehicles without dual mass flywheel

60nm (44ft/lbs) + 180 degrees for vehicles with dual mass.

This is exactly what’s listed in the Bentley, but they make no specific mention for automatic transmissions which is where my uncertainty came in. IE: flex plate vs flywheel

Sorry I missed the 2.0T bit. This is the spec for the 3.0TDI or ELSAWin has changed spec.

Make sure they have given you the spec of the flex plate to crank bolts, not torque converter to flex plate.
