Nice, these cars are so ridiculously consistent, my best time on our WA 92 on the EPL 93 map is also an 11.87 @ 115.8, when I added 3 gals of E to a full tank to make it ~93-94 octane, it ran an 11.79 @ 116.7, few gallons of E gets it a couple of extra degrees of timing in the logs, but it's funny we both did an 11.87 on straight 92. I'm excited for track season to get here and try some runs on a prepped surface so I can launch harder, will give the E40 map a go then.

Thanks. I concur with the consistency of these cars. 11.87s must be some magic number lol. With regards to E, I found a Shell sells E85 in Arlington, so I might give a try the E40 file, weather permitting. We got at least 8" of snow here. Stay safe.

I never added here cause I technically didn't launch the car, brake boosted for a split second to ~1500RPM as my summer's at the time would spin like demons at anything more. Just mashed the gas to the floor in S and let the car AMAX shift itself, I did nothing!

On a prepped surface w/ an actual launch on my current sticky Alpin PA4's this thing will run an 11.59 all day as it sits... excited to try the E40 file once track season opens in April and shoot for some 11.3's.

In the latest update to Dragy, one can now filter the leaderboards by text strings. If one focuses on Audi ¼-mile all-time records and filters for "rs5", one will see that Teknika is no longer the leader for modded RS5s. A guy named "Jose" ran a 10.68 ¼-mile trapping at 129.95mph on 12-15-20. I'd attach his performance report here if I could, but to the best of my knowledge one can't export Dragy performance posts.

I had a DP from Red Star as well back then. Currently i'm EPL tune and have beaten that time a while ago. I just bought the EPL TCU tune and will do another pass shortly.

with that being said yes JB4 on its own is very impressive for a piggy back.

I will try find the latest slips. Mph improved by much with a slight gain on time. Last two times out the stars have not aligned for him and is having launch issues with traction and lack of runs due to track closure.

Not much to update as I have been working on a few small projects on the RS5 as well as a new RS3 track project. I was able to back up my previous record of 10.82 @ 124.7 MPH with a 10.89 @ 128.4 MPH. We gained 3 MPH on the trap. Still have some kinks to work on. Unfortunately, my work schedule and weather have hindered us from being at the track more.

I think for the sake of purity and clarity, there needs to be a clear delineation between 1/4 mile times on Dragy versus an actual NHRA sanctioned drag strip. Dragy times are used as a supplement and not a replacement for the drag strip for the purpose of legitimacy. A time slip produced at the drag strip is the gold standard. Period. While I won’t discredit anyone who produces a faster time on Dragy, in my book and in the book of true drag racers and any sanctioned drag racing governing body, it isn’t official unless you do it at a sanctioned drag strip. There isn’t anyone in the world that accepts a Dragy pass as proof of holding any legitimate drag record.

On a different note, it has been no kidding proven that the Draggy is 99% plus percent accurate. We will never know if the drag strip timeslips are fair, who knows if there were windy conditions when someone ran their cars and affected their ET and trap speeds, same thing with dragy.

What do you suggest? I created this topic purely for sharing data. On a different note, congrats on the RS3. it would be great to compare your two car performance.

What you do and if you do it is entirely up to you as it’s your list. It is but a mere suggestion. Yes, I agree that Dragy has proven itself to be accurate. In fact, many professional drag racers keep and run a Dragy for confirmation while at the drag strip, but again, there is still no substitute for sanctioned drag strips as all competitors are on the same surface and at the nearly the same condition on that given day, whereas road gradation and DAs vary due to a multitude of factors. For example, the DAZA world record database has proof by time slip or video.

You are correct, not everyone will have the availability or desire to test on a drag strip. And many, despite the availability do not because learning the mechanics of drag racing at a strip has a learning curve in and of itself, from the surface, proper staging and understanding a lighted tree, etc. These are some of the reasons why a time slip from a sanctioned drag strip is the gold standard.

The RS3 is actually a built, low 9 second, 800 AWHP drag car that we are converting for track use. In terms of flat out straight line speed, the RS3 wins hands down.
