    Hi All,

I'm looking to get my brakes done on my 2014 A7, I bought some Akebono ceramics off tirerack and looking for a trusted shop to install. I live in west seattle but am open to anything in the area.

Any recs would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

My buddy Erik at ipmautoservices.com does all my work on my B8.5 S4. He is a single man operation so if you are looking for a traditional shop the only other place I would go to is Achtuning

Fine tuning at North Seattle did my brakes and they are fantastic. Achtuning tuned my car and they are awesome as well. Can't go wrong with either shop. Oh and Stone's german garage worked on my 2014 Mercedes and they are brilliant too.

Hey all, picking up a 2017 Q5 3.0T soon and found this thread very useful as I'll be looking for a go-to mechanic but also plan to swap out suspension soon after I get it. I'm in south West Seattle so Autobahn Autowerkz in Burien looks super convenient. South Lake European in Renton would also be alright.

    A few questions though:

    1. When it comes to aftermarket parts such as suspension, do any of these shops prefer to order the parts for you? Or are they fine with you bringing the parts? Generally I feel that shops prefer to source things themselves so they can get a little cut, which if fair, I'm just not seeing anything about performance parts on their sites (except some of the more high-end shops in Redmond)
    2. Have you experienced long wait times trying to get an appointment?

I'm in the same boat, thanks for tips.
I'll just add that stay away from Fat City. A couple of years ago I inquired about using my parts and not only did he refuse, he was quite rude about it too.

Good to know, thanks. Are they into mods as well or just maintenance? I've been a few modded VWs and Audis there but could just be employee cars.

Location is great as I'm a block off 35th, further south, so it's on my bus route.

achtuning in Redmond was cool about bringing my parts [crank pulley] when I have my apr stage 2 installed.
Fine tuning in Seattle is an ECS tunning dealer and they will get you any parts at ECS website's price, which is fair.

I'm sure they're open to mods.. I've only been in for general maintenance stuff tho. Give em a shout and chat with the guys at the front - super helpful.
