In the US, you could get the 2015 Q7 with the V12 body kit, but the powertrain was still limited to the North American options.

Man, These are so beautiful. They come in both gasoline and diesel. I have owned two of them, the first being was a Cararra White gasoline and the second is now a Glacier White Metallic TDI. The gasoline blew up within 200 miles of the Cali dealership as I was driving it back. (ACC was set at 95 until the engine exploded. Walter's Audi found the used dodge dealer had green coolant, 10w30 oil, and regular gasoline. But it was a blessing in disquise because I learned about the TDI. There is one listing online for 50k lol. Stayed refreshing cargurus for 2 weeks and found the TDI last weekend. Id like to help someone else out so Ill tell you this: Do research on the cars without pictures on that site. I got a really clean v12 from an AUDI DEALER in springfield MO. They are a berkshire hathaway dealership. Many of these exist around the country. The person that puts the cars on the internet screws them up alot. when I bought mine there were two different q7s listed online at two different audi dealers across the country from each other. neither had pictures listed and both were listed incorrectly as gasoline engine prestiges. Let me add to the story a tad bit on these. The dealer I bought it from said Audi handed them out as prizes for good surveys. This dealer was very surprised to see this pull in on the truck. They said they never ordered it. Baton Rouge Audi (a much larger dealer) never got one. Only ~250 audi dealers in the country. I called Audi of America but the person I spoke with couldn't confirm how many were brought over. The guy did confirm they are very rare and only available as a 2015.

This is considered a "Sports Edition". All are a little different depending what other packages your vehicle has. Mine came with the S-Line 21x10 Titanium Peelers, which I very much prefer over the gloss black. Along with extended leather, carbon fiber inlays and a few other things.

750 I read in an article were brought over, strictly just the package though, the V12 TDI motor was never regulated for North America.

It is an actually package listed on the window sticker as Sports Edition. Please dont call my car a poser

I actually just logged back into audizine to make a WTB post about these.

They are incredible. I can get over the lack of an actual W12 - the body is just special.

As a previous owner of an RS4 I really appreciate the flares (although stuck on) and the oval tails.

Not many out there - the post above by @mscottdemarco is very helpful. Internet sales listings are often bogus.

I'm on the hunt for one - preferably diesel.

Does anyone know if they were only available in certain colors?

Was the full Alcantara headliner a separate option?

I've got a 2015, Black on Black w/65k on the clock that I would sell. I think the color is Night Black, no metallic.

Looking at a Q8 so either this or the Cayenne Turbo has to go to make room.

Wife driven and she's a law obiding driver. No dings, dent's, bodywork, paintwork and Suntek clear bra installed on day one. All weather mats installed day 1. Original carpet mats still in new condition. Nothing is broken on the car and everything works as it should. Undercarriage is as clean as you're going to find on any car as it's a California car since Day 1. Super clean undercarriage and I'll post up a pic when the car returns after she gets done with work today.

The clear bra covers:
Entire Hood
Both front fenders in their entirety
Front bumper
Rear bumper
All 4 flares
all 4 door cups
exterior rear view mirrors.

The clear bra still looks amazing but I have a deal to get a few pieces redone. Those pieces being the hood and front bumper, which will be done.

The car does not have:
Red Calipers
CF interior

It does have, extended leather and the alcantara ceiling with white deviated stitching.

We are the original owners, all maintenance is done by me in my home garage. OCI's at the first 1,000 miles then every 5k after that. New plugs and coil packs recently done. New pads and rotors done last week, fresh brake fluid changed also. Transmission and differential flush on the list even though dealer says not needed. New Michelin Pilot 4 SUV tires installed yesterday. Hunter Road force balanced also.

The bad,which is actually the good. I was washing the car sunday am. I had the wipers in the service position and accidentally hit the wipers with the hose. The wiper blade flew off and the arm came back down on the windshield, putting 2 cracks in the glass. I have an appointment next week at Audi in Pasadena for a new windshield at a cost of $2,600. Upside for anyone interested in the car is that you'll have a brand new Audi 4 ring windshield. Upside for me is that I was going to take the car to Audi for an alignment at a cost of $399 and it's now included with the windshield calibration. The car has lane change assist and rain sensor.

Wear on the car as it is a 5 year old car pertains mostly to the interior. Few dings around the aluminum center column around the gear shifter. Wife's bracelets, etc... Also a few dings on the aluminum trim piece on the driver's door. Sheweighs 125 lbs so the seats are in great condition.

The car will be a turn key, fully ready to drive for miles without having to worry about any service for another 5,000 miles at which time an oil change will be due. That's it! Oh, oil used since 1,000 miles has been Motul X Clean 5/40. The car burns not a drop between oil changes.

Not advertised for sale as don't want to deal with tire kickers or lowballers. If you want a well maintained, clean, no rust vehicle and cause me no headaches, I'll part with the car. Otherwise, she drives it for another 5 years. The Audi dealership yesterday, while writingup an estimate for the windshield, said do not sell this car. It's one of the rare ones.

Re the RS4, I'm not sure about the option level for Lava. I know they were putting it on Q7s back then and probably other models as well but evidently only four RS4s stateside to my knowledge.

I was the third owner and purchased it out of state. The listing photos had the original window sticker pictured along with the service records but it never made it to me in transport re whether Lava was listed on there as exclusive.

To add to the thread:
There are two different option packages that were available. To each his own, black brakes maybe some prefer.
$5800 Sport Style Plus had the bodykit, black brakes and aluminum trim (I've seen this optioned to carbon later on the window sticker just how Audi does the packages)
$5900 Sport Edition had bodykit, red brakes, carbon trim.

The 5900 package, included the extended leather and adaptive cruise control in the package. Both have the 3 spoke steering wheel like a 13 s8 has and a nicer shifter than normal. You sorta need to find a window sticker because the cars could be so different between 2 with the body kits.

ll add window stickers to this post later. Audi designed the packages so they would sell. Different strokes for different folks. The first one I bought was a SSP with alcantara, ACC, carbon fiber, and extended leather added. The second one was a Prestige Sport Edition with a towing package. Both were around 74k but my Prestige Sport Edition with all the packages lumped has no alcantara.

Anyone know if there is a "full leather package" which normally from Audi would include alcantara above the leather on the door, upper leather trims on the doors, and a leather dashboard.

Picked up a "Sport Edition" back in December after a few months of going back and forth with the wife between a TDI Q7 or a XC90 for the family hauler. This one popped up for sale 15 min away and I couldn't pass it up!

Lava Gray

Window Sticker below for those intrested. It was originally ordered as a fleet vehicle and I'm assuming before the Sport Edition was released since it's a couple grand more then what you would have paid if you bought a real Sport Edition.

Thanks! Wish the Q7 wasn't as dated tech wise compared to the 2016+ XC90s but it checks every other box for me and don't worry tint is on the list for this spring!

Lava RS4 that is my dream spec! Would love to own one of those someday but know they are VERY hard to come by.

Welcome, looks to be the same except for the body colored mirrors, red brake calipers, extended leather and the adaptive cruise. Audi allowed these to be optioned in such a crazy way because your's is actually 7k more - TDI costing 3k more at the time - than a higher optioned car 'true' sport edition. Does it have the B&O package?

No B&O unfortunately. But yeah the same as the Sport Edition minus what you mentioned above. I was really confused at why anyone would spec mine the way they did but I don't think the Sport Edition had been announced yet and mine is a late 2014 (MY15) build. Thankfully I wasn't the one paying MSRP to find out later they could have gotten a better optioned Q7 for less!

Yeah, they're two options I wish I'd gotten - the B&O sound and the alcantara headliner. And then maybe gotten it in white. I don't think I've ever owned a car where I wish I could spec it differently after the honeymoon wears off, LOL

Honestly I wouldn't suggest buying it at that price but just know that they're rare and hard to find. I think that its wayyyy over priced so there's no value in it. I'm at 61K miles right now and I'd sell mine for $35k at a moments notice and it'll have all the options I mentioned above which this one doesn't have. Something else I literally just noticed - the oval finishers are chrome on the Sport Edition Packaged cars but black on the 'true' Sport Edition cars - I just had to walk outside to check LOL. Man I love geeking out on stuff like this.

Gentlemen,

Need your help guys! The Q7 is in the body shop for front and rear bumpers painting with front grilles to be painted in glossy black. So my car will be there for 10 days !
In the same time I would like to order the Akrapovic exhaust tips but I would like to confirm the dimensions of our exhaust tips. Attached is the photo of the RS6/7 exhaust tips measurement.
It will be great if one of you can take the same photos in order to make sure that the size is the same.
