    Maintenance schedule

Background: I own a 2013 S6 with just under 38k miles on it. Bought it used middle of last year from a non-audi dealership.
So I was under the impression that car maintenance schedules went strictly by the mileage. Never thought it would go by time as well. I just called to schedule my 35k mile maintenance, and they said my car was done all the way through the 65k mile maintenance. So my next one is supposed to be the 75k mile maintenance. Seems weird to me. I know that a sitting care can deteriorate over time, but I don't think I need to spend $1400+ for a 75k mile maintenance when she only has 37k+ miles on her and runs like a charm.

    Thoughts?

Some owners over-maintain their cars. In your case, I wouldn’t rush to do anything more than perhaps an oil change until at least 50k-55k miles.

If you haven't come across it already, that's the maintenance schedule. The two things that make the 75k service expensive (spark plugs and DSG service) should have been done at the 35k service. If you don't have documentation for the last time it was done, brake fluid is an every two years thing.

Audi has all the records for my car through the 65k. I checked the brake fluid when I changed my rotors and pads last week. Looked like melted butter so I know its fine. I can check the plugs.
