Found this researching trans info. Pretty interesting. Seems pretty legit. If it wasn’t so damn expensive I’d probably do it.

Pretty awesome ... I see this cutting down shift time considerably .. thus, making much faster passes at the track.

I'd consider it down the road, for now having a manual is a fun component to driving the car and I'm happy losing a few tenths for the sake of enjoyment. Seems like a really involved install though.

True, I do love rowing gears but if it were like more modern cars and be able to choose between the two? For instance in traffic? That’d be sweet

Unless you go with dog type engagement you run the risk of blowing up synchros using this.

Scotty, with a dog type setup, how is long term longevity? Let's say the car sees street use and occasional 1/4 or 1/2 mile events?

This setup wont blow syncros, it actuates the clutch during a shift

No need for straight cut gears, but dog engagement gears I would argue is necessary. Otherwise shift speed will still be limited by the synchro.

Yes it will systems like this its easy to overshift a synchro box even with using the clutch.

There is a common misconception that straight cut gears = dog engagement which isn't the case. You can have one without the other and vice versa.
