    Bushing Removal/InstallationTool Recommendations

Hello all. As the title states, I'm looking for a recommendation on a bushing removal/installation tool for subframe bushings. I'd like to stay away from making a tool of my own using sockets or whatever (which I've done before and can be a real pita) and am looking for an actual tool or kit. Any recommendations?

    There’s this one

But I’ve never used it. Sorry that’s not as helpful as a direct recommendation. I think my nearby OReilly’s will loan it out, but I haven’t had occasion to use it. I have had zero problems with any of their other speciality tools that I’ve used, FWIW. I’d be very interested to know your thoughts on the new subframe bushings you’re doing (billet, right?).

I tried a couple of bushing press kits. I didn’t find any that were a good fit on the rear subframe bushings. There isn’t much room to use a receiver cup.

It’s either a hydraulic press (after separating it from the suspension or hoist it with a engine hoist), or a drill, hole saw, sawzall, and a punch pin or chisel.

The bushings are liquid filled and can squirt you with hot juices while drilling it out to give room for the sawzall, and then you use the sawzall to cut a slit in the outer aluminium sleeve and knock it out with the punch.

This guy goes through a bit of the process and found the OEM tool, which is linked in the thread, still need other pieces from another kit though. Did it while it was in the car apparently.

He also found out the differences between sport and non-sport bushings were.
