its gray. thats obvious. but it does have a slight blue hue to it. just like real dolphins....and holy shit! the name of the color happens to be Dolphin Gray too! O_O what a coinkydink!

For Dolphin Gray to be a colour, there must be a tinge of blue to it, otherwise it's just a shade.

Not really sure here, but if car colors are named/categorized the same as oil paints... then the color is categorized by its final title and usually has the most significant % of that color in paint. In this case that = gray. Dolphin will be the specialitive/additive/hue or version of gray depending on manufacturers description style. Like TeamBob said Dolphins have that pearl blue visual effect when looking at them from different angles.

Whoever thought up this color and pearl effect...I likee much.

Alright, 57 - 6 is enough to drive the point home.

Me and my girlfriend got into an argument about my "blue" car. She says that it is blue, and not gray, and that I am completly crazy to call it gray. She said that I should ask other people and have them tell me if the car is blue or gray. There is do doubt tinting of blue in the color, but I would say the color is mostly gray with some blue in it - where she says it is mostly blue with some gray in it.

I realize winning an argument with a female significant other is only a myth, but I thought I'd like to go in with ammunition in the form of statistics.

Show her the OEM paint color in your manual. Don't show her this thread... if you go outta your way like this to prove a point over a silly arguement, that's a little overboard...unless of course she said do it...lol. "Guy is never wrong" syndrome pisses girls off big-time...even if the guy is actually right most of the time. She'll like or love ya even more if you let it slide. Ya got to make them feel like they're right once in a while in your own ball field. In fact from my journies, she'll likely come around in a week or so and admit its more gray than blue pearl. Women are crazy bro...at your 19-20 age you think ya know, but really you don't. They get more unreasonable as you age. We love them anyways.

Is she possibly slightly color blind and just never knew it? I dont know how you can call DG blue.
