Which ceramic brakes fit our cars?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
In the market for new brakes and would like to buy ceramics. I'm wondering which brakes (if any) would fit our cars.

    Audi S8
    Audi RS3
    Audi R8
    Lamborghini Gallardo (same as R8)

Alternatively, I am considering Stoptech, Brembo and MOVIT if I cannot source ceramics. I've seen a couple variations of BBK's installed from a while back but haven't seen any updated threads. Post your setup!

S8 is likely too large. S8/RS7 ceramics are 400mm or so. You need much larger wheels.

Earlier R8 might fit, as might RS3 (370mm). The issues are: 1. Will calipers bolt on? 2. Is the center bore different such that the rotor won't fit?

The car came originaly with a carbon-ceramic brake option. So the OE brakes will fit best me thinks.

OEM B7 RS4 ceramics are unfortunately hard to source as opposed to some of the other options and extremely expensive new. I would also like matching ceramic rears (like in S8 and R8). OEM B7 ceramics were only front.

That was a once in a lifetime deal I feel like. Could always pay the $17k

Definitely not interested in paying $17k for ceramics! Anyone else fit bigger brakes on an RS?

Any photos? Mind sharing which vendor you sourced them from? Is the braking power considerably better than stock?

Are you having an issue with the stock brakes?

I have talked to my local dealer and they could get me new complete ceramic RS4 front brakes (rotors, pads, calipers, lines, and wear sensors) for like $10K plus tax. Thus I will stick to steel brakes forever!

Highly doubt that steel brakes even on a supercharged or turbocharged S4/RS4 wouldn't be enough.

Yeah, even at $10k it’s a bit ridiculous. Ceramics are certainly overkill, but at the same time, I wouldn’t mind a set on the car.

I think it all depends on purpose. The stock brakes are quite good. With good pads and fluid, it would likely fit 99.5% of needs of owners.

However, some people like the aesthetics of either a big brake kit, different rear caliper, ceramics, etc. In that case it all depends on their wallet.

Rear brakes are gone and don't want to invest in rotors and pads when I can do a rear BBK for not much more. However, I'd rather do front and rear rather than rear alone while I am at it.

    My 0.02$

My car is the craziest braking car I’ve driven lol.

A 6 pot front setup with SS lines perform better because 2 less pistons to push. Also pads for the ST60 are cheaper then RS

And I’d say do Bosh mods rear
