    V6T Emblem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello! When I purchased my S4, the previous owner took all the emblems off the car. I have the V6T emblems for the front fender. Does anyone have a a template or can take some pictures with measurements so that I can reattach the emblems? I tried searching but I only found info on the 'supercharged' emblems. I already found the measurements on here for the S4 trunk emblem. Thanks!

So interestingly - pretty sure all ROW cars were V6T badged vs Supercharged

At least Aus/NZ cars have the V6T on both sides, have to remove them and add the SC badges instead now.

I took mine off within a couple of weeks. Always hated that badge even after it was explained what the T was for. Didn’t put the supercharged badge on either

I replaced my V6T with the supercharged badges. After seeing some with no fender emblems, I’m starting to think that’s the way to go

VOTE TO BAN! Really the V6T emblem is confusing .Most think the "T" indicates turbo, which it doesnt. You can purchase oem supercharger badges at a cheap price on eBay.Make sure you get oem or similar. You can print off a mounting template for the SC badges on the ECS Tuning website. We will be keeping an eye on you! Just kidding

The badge police are out in force today!

I take it nobody has the measurements or template for the OP? Just opinions on how he should badge his car?

It did kinda go off the rails there...funny to read. Agree OP should put whatever badges he wants. I don't have a template or measurements unfortunately. Because we've not yet answered this:

Sounds like the T in V6T is for TFSI, and TFSI stands for Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection "the world's first turbocharged direct injection engine" (https://www.audimichiana.com/audi-tfsi--engine).

I was told they used V6T because the supercharger is a form of turbo, just belt driven.

superchargers and turbochargers though performs similar boost specifications are very different in how they produce their boost. North American S4/S5/SQ5's should never have been labelled V6T's.

I've purchased appropriate supercharged badges which i cannot swap on for another 5 months as our temps are now in the -5 -40degree celsius temp range until next May 2020. I'll then swap them over and get rid of the stupid (yes stupid) German 3.0T emblems.

I like the simplicity of it, and personally don't care at all what other people think.

I'd probably prefer a carbon fiber supercharged badge, but it's not worth the hassle.

There is no accounting for other people's tastes,or lack thereof. Its your car and you can do with it as you see fit. BTW, I have never seen a template for the V6T emblem. It may exist but who wants to be an enabler?

Hopefully these help. For the vertical measurements I tried to keep the tape measure right on that ridge that runs down the body. When measuring horizontally, only the top part of the tape measure was against the back of the fender, since the badges aren't vertically aligned with the gap between the door and fender.

Funny. I owned my car for 4 1/2 years and literally never once cared that it had the V6T badges. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

You beat me to it. I was outside in the dark just this evening about to measure for OP.

I really don't mind the V6T emblems myself, and they tend to just blend in anyways.

I am trying to envision supercharged emblems on my car, or no emblems and comparing to the V6T badge at present. They all just land the same for me. I really don't notice fender emblems on cars. Maybe Ferrari, but that's because most are red and their emblem is yellow against it so it really draws your eye in. On a sports sedan that's a dime a dozen, and with Audi branding cars left and right as such (S-Line, Supercharged, V6T, etc.), I really never noticed until I saw this thread. I like that others are going back and fourth. At least some people have opinions!

I swapped them for Supercharged badges because I wanted to de-chrome the car, which is now basically complete. My car has the black optics package, so the only real chrome were the badges, and they stuck out.

Sorry I missed your question a few months back. I bought the car used and believe at some point they were refinished to full titanium.

P.S. I just had my bumper, hood and fenders refinished. The shop had to take my V6T emblems off and I mentioned supercharged ones are welcome. They went ahead and sourced the OEM carbon fiber look ones. I didn't specify colors. Just assumed they were all mostly red. So now I guess my indifference to emblems shifts from not caring about V6T, to now not caring that I have red S4 emblems with carbon supercharged emblems!
