A4 2019 Premium - Plus Package - Mislead on all features

So Im new to Audi and decided to get into one after test driving my buddies 2017 A4 premium plus. I am a big audio guy so the one of the features I loved and had to have was the sound quality of the bang olufsen sound system.

So I ask my buddy if I needed to get that as an additional package - to which he replied it comes standard on the A4 Premium Plus Package. Thats the package you need to get.

So naturally, I wanted to confirm this is true for 2019 model - should be right since its the same B9 model just newer. I go to Audi USA. Click on the 2019 A4. Select premium plus. And click all features. Sure enough under the premium plus package, bang olufsen sounds system is listed. Cool.

After doing my research on Audi USA I go into the dealership say I want the A4 with the premium plus package because it has all the features I want. Pulls up the vehicle. We go for a test drive, then I sign the paper work and drive off. I didnt even think to check hey does this car really have the bang olufsen sound system since I did the due diligence of checking what this package included on Audi USA website.

After I get home, I decided to really crank the system and immediately noticed the lack of sound quality and impact. It did not sound like my buddies and no where near the level of quality I had heard. Again I didnt even think to check when purchasing since it said it was a feature on the premium plus and didnt want to crank the system with the sales associate in the seat.

After closer inspection and research I realize that it doesnt have the bang olufsen sound system. Apparently on the 2019 premium plus they took it out as standard and you have to select it as an option. However, its still listed as a feature under the premium plus. There is no fine print that says its available and you must pay additional for this option.

Upon calling Audi USA to get an explanation they same oh no sir that just lists all the features that are available. Ummm no it doesnt. It doesnt say available, its says all features. Additionally, it doesnt have all the features available listed - such as rear heated seats etc.

Literally it only has every single option that is included STANDARD on a premium plus - with the exception of the bang olufsen sound system apparently. However there is nothing stating you need to purchase this as an additional option.

Furthermore its included as standard on the A3 premium plus. As a customer I did my research using the tools on Audi USA. Went in to purchase thinking it had that and was mislead. So frustrated because I would of happily paid the $950 for this feature has I known it wasnt included on the package like the website states. Now Im locked into a lease with a sub par sound system.

Here is the link to the 2017 B9 Audi A4 brochure showing its included standard on premium plus: https://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/...rX_lowres2.pdf

Pic of it listed as standard on 2017:

Audi website 2019 A4 Premium Plus model all feature clicked into details (no fine print saying you must purchase this as an add-on to the package):

Apparently they really did include this as standard on the B9 Audi A4 premium plus previously, but took it out later on. I dont think Audi was trying to deceive people, but truly think their marketing team made an honest mistake of updating the premium plus package features. Even there dealers are confused... here is Santa Monicas Audi website clearly showing this is included in the premium plus package.

Im any case, Audi USA shrugged me off and said well sorry you interrupted it that way.

Well thanks. Sorry you didnt update your website to reflect the features that come on the Audi A4 premium plus package. Again their explanation does not make sense since again the features listed include everything that standard and dont have the other options listed. Everything except the sound system which again was standard previously, which makes me think it was just a mistake on their end that they will not own up to.

Sux that they did that, but if it really was the deal breaker on deciding to get the car- why wouldn't that be one of the 1st things to check out?

Not trying to be incite anything, but you know what they say when you presume anything. #TrustButVerify

I'm gonna have to agree with calbear here. It's clear by your post that you really wanted the BO sound system, yet you went to the dealer, test drove a car, signed the paperwork, drove the car all the way home and never checked that the one feature you really wanted was there? So instead you want to point out discrepancies in their website and literature in hopes of what exactly? I'm sure there won't be a problem if you just take the car back and explain the situation but I'm not sure what the point of this post is. I really hope it works out for you man, I really do.

But I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that was rolling my eyes right now.

I dont blame the OP completely. He went online and checked and they said it was "included". Which is not the same as "available/option". Even VC is an option in PP, which isn't mentioned in one of the photos he posted. So clearly, their marketing isn't right.
I believe even in my 2017 B9 A4, B&O was optional (?). But i think most of the dealers optioned the car with it (since I remember seeing it in all the PPs I looked at back then and assumed it was standard but the website mentioned it as an additional pack).

Sucks that Audi isnt doing anything to fix it for him. I mean. If they mentioned it as an add-on and the OP got the car without it, it would totally be the OPs fault and Audi would be right to not do anything about it. But since the Audi website itself mentions it as included, they should ideally do right by him and offer him a replacement or something.
