It is an open book. Everything is subjective to personal choice. I see a lot of people that are into cosmetics: paddle shifters, carbon fiber bit and pieces, lowering the car, headlights with LED changing colors, etc. Then there are people that want strictly handling and they spend their money on sway bars, coilers, crossmember, bushings, etc. Other people just go straight for engine mods and don't touch anything else, they do engine bolt ons, tune, etc.

For me is engine bolt-ons, I only care about going fast on a traffic light and a straight line..nothing else!!.

    - Intake (IE or Unitronic)

    OP,
S3Dude has the right idea. Tell us more about your expectations. If you are after more performance, where do you feel the RS3 falls short for you? If you want aesthetic or aero mods, how do you want your car to look?

If your goal is power and handling here is a quick rundown of our recommendations for bolt ons!

    Power Upgrades:
APR Software for the ECU and TCU
    APR Front Mount Intercooler
    APR Inlet and Intake System
    APR Downpipe & Midpipe Upgrades
AWE Track or Switchpath Cat-Back Exhaust

    Handling Upgrades:
    MSS Sport Suspension Upgrade
Giro Disc Front & Rear Rotor Upgrades
    034 Rear Sway Bar
    APR Pendulum Mount
    APR Subframe Insert

Things like wheels and interior upgrades can be subjective but I would be happy to discuss some wheel styles!

We have all of the above in stock ready for immediate shipping.

Shoot me a PM with any questions and I would be happy to help!

Thank you all for the responses. This is my first AWD vehicle and my first euro car. I know nothing about them.

I am looking to go fast in a straight line, on the street only. I will never go to the drag strip and I will never do street dragy runs from zero miles an hour.

As far as shortcomings on the stock RS3, well, it is a really slow car that needs more power. My opinion of course. I came from a 800 rwhp second gen CTS-V. However, for the short term, I am trying to see what I can do with the factory turbo.

Just go fully built ims1100. That way you won't feel the need to compare to your old car

You have to build the motor if you want what you are used to. Stage 2 e85 is fast and will walk most cars but not an 800 hp CTs-v unless it’s just a number which happens often on these forums.

An 800hp CTS-V is an amazing car. I can see how the "stock" RS3 can seem somewhat underwhelming on the highway or a straight line versus a tuned big hp V8 CTS-V. You will not get the same type of growl, pull and experience at highway speeds in the RS3 as the tuned CTS-V. The RS3 is a bit linear in it's stock form so you may not be feeling all the power it truly delivers.. Don't forget..It's a 5 cylinder with 400 crank HP stock.. The lack of power is a common complaint from enthusiasts coming from big HP cars.

However, what the RS3 does exceptionally well is putting the power down to the pavement.. The RS3 isn't all that fast stock but flash the ECU with an E85 stage 1+ or 2 tune, add a TCU tune with a few bolt on's (turbo inlet, intake, intercooler, downpipe, throttle body, catch can) ~$6,500 +or - in parts and tunes plus labor and you'll be right at or faster than the 800hp CTS-V was in a roll race, the 1/4 mile and/or the 1/2 mile.. The RS3 reacts very well to an ECU tune... Also, if you haven't used launch control yet please do so.. It's an experience you don't want to miss if you own this car..

If the above does not satisfy your power needs then take it to IROZ for the IMS850 Turbo upgrade kit and call it a day for much less $$ than you probably invested in the 800hp CTS-V.

You know funny you mention that... I was in getting the APR TCU tune today and had already replaced the washer nozzles early on (hated those stock ones) with the recommended A6 nozzles. However, I was pulling up their VCDS (I'm too cheap to buy one..) and couldn't for the life of me find the proper menu to make the adjustment on the time. Any chance you'd know that one?

To modify the washer fluid pump pulse. 500ms reduces the amount of fluid by 70%

So I had this screenshot pulled up at the dealership, but we couldn't figure out how in the hell to get to this screen. There was no 6B section to click on that we could find, which is what I assumed, but otherwise we didn't know how to get to this point. Any chance you could plug in that missing piece?

Go into central electric then the adaptation drop down. Should be in there but you may have to scroll a bit
