Stock Quarter Mile RS7 Performance - I'm Impressed!!!

I have a 2018 Audi RS7 Performance and also have a VBOX. Finally had some time to play with it. I've taken the VBOX to the drag strip in the past and it's matched plus it's a well vetted performance tool. 90 degrees yesterday got a nice pull using the VBOX. Other than a Milltek non-resonated exhaust car is bone stock down to the tires and 21" wheels.

With that said, here are the numbers it recorded:

    Standing Start
    0-60 MPH : 3.062 seconds (1-foot roll out)
    0-100 MPH : 7.020 seconds (1-foot roll out)
    0-130 MPH : 11.781 seconds (1-foot roll out)
    0-150 MPH : 16.364 seconds (1-foot roll out)

    Roll:
    60-100 MPH: 3.957 seconds
    60-130 MPH: 8.718 seconds
    100-150 MPH: 9.344 seconds

    Drag Racing:
    60': 1.774 @ 40.844 MPH
    330': 4.752 @ 79.285 MPH
    1/8th: 7.226 @ 99.858 MPH (101.660 terminal velocity)
    1000': 9.349 @ 116.097 MPH
    1/4mi: 11.144 @ 125.722 MPH (126.640 terminal velocity)
    1/2mi: 17.510 @ 152.977 MPH (153.974 terminal velocity)

Wow, that's killing it. Did you use launch control or just power brake it a little then jump on it? Shoot, just a stage 1 and you'd probably whop the R8.

Good times! Stage 1 will net you high 10s, stage 2 mid-low 10s, fuel dependent. One thing that sucks a little for you as a Performance owner is that there is no Performance specific tune, so you won’t see as big a drop in ET as a non-Performance RS7 (11.5s stock), at Stage 1 you’ll be putting out exactly the same amount of power as a stage 1 non-Perfomance (where as stock Vs stock you have 45hp / 50ftlb more).

No launch control on the RS7 with the ZF auto transmission, brake boosting is the only way to launch it.

We're expecting a baby in two months this is a CPO 2018 car and the baby car so it's got a LONG warranty and therefore I'm not in a rush to modify it minus the exhaust (it's too quiet stock). I went performance for the magnetic ride primarily. I loved the versatility it offers. The extra power was a nice bonus.

If I go aftermarket it's straight to Stage 2 + DP not wasting time with Stage 1. I am curious to see what the Iowa guy does with his E85 tune that's something down the road I may be interested in. I have tons of E85 in the area and used it on my previous GT-R great cheap "race fuel."

I thought the choices for the RS7 Performance were either Air or DRC...not magnetic?
With the former being the softer of the two with air springs and electronically adjustable valved dampers and the later being the electro-mechanically valved linked steel spring system.
I thought magnetic was only available on the A3, TT & R8.

    Examples:
    Air

    DRC

@Nosferatu , How much did you brake boost it, if you did at all?

I have a Dragy and have run my stock 15' RS7 a few times, (never brake boosted tho), and usually get 3.6-3.7 sec 0-60 time... Granted your car is newer, has less miles, and is the performance model, but since you're able to get those times and live in FL too, I should be able to improve mine a little?

Reason I've never brake boosted it is because I'm unsure how much our trans/diff can take and hold? I've already had my rear diff replaced under warranty shortly after I got it, and would hate to take it in again for another diff replacement.

Just brake boosted for a second or two and release the brake. Long enough to feel the car do the squat and then I release.
