DDM Tuning vs other HID Replacement Bulbs

    Hey all,
It's time to replace a HEadlight bulb, so looking to upgrade to a better than stock set. I see that DDM Tuning is mentioned on this site a fair bit, IMO due to the combination of low cost/lifetime warranty. In reading threads I see that OSRAM, and Philips are considered King of HID bulbs, but looking to see if anyone has any personal experience using the DDM bulbs, and if they regret not going to a higher priced option.
Additionally if you have another bulb that you use that you prefer over stock, let me know!

I’ve been happy with the Morimoto 5500k D3S bulbs. Very nice mature looking color and improvement over stock. Don’t pick a stupid kelvin rating because it looks dumb and you lose visibility range

I can't speak for them in my Audi. But I've used DDM Tuning HID's on all my motorcycles without fail. They're the best bang for the buck imo.

Rockauto was my go to place when mine burned out. Actually shattered in the housing. Bought two to have a spare. Hate having a headlight out.

DDM is ok but not really the best quality. i wouldn't trust them on longetivity/reliability.

+1 for Morimoto. get the D3S 35w bulb, i got the 5500K and ran em for 4 years, one of them recently went out, but they are like almost 1/3 the price of the comparable Philips/Osram ones.

one thing to note about the Osrams, the color temp they say does not match what it actually is, it seems they used the color temps to just show levels/brightness of the bulb. i recently replaced mine with the Osram Cool Blue Boost which says 7000k, but it's definitely not as it has no blue, just a bright 4500-5000k type of white. all reviews and videos i've seen say the same. they are good bulbs though and nice and bright and i'm happy with them, but just letting you guys know in case you go for 6000k+ and expect more bluish.

Osram makes it a bit tricky for everyone.
CBB has marking of 'UP TO 7000K', which actually starts at around 5800 - 6000K in color.
This is not totally BS as all HID lights do discolor to have its kelvin increase over usage.

CBA has marking of 'UP TO 6000K' and its color is actually about 6000K.
This confuses people by thinking that it's 6000K or 7000K, without catching 'UP TO'.

oh i see, i missed that UP TO part. i guess that makes sense, but weird them doing that, but i get it from a marketing standpoint, most don't know the K is for color and might just think 7000K means brightest.
