So guys I know this is old but it just happen to me and need help battery was off car for like 2 hrs then key fob stop working light blinks I also tried re learning it with all the info I got off here with the unlock and 5sec push button crap and nothing so I decide to check in vags to see if the key was learn in car and re program it tru vag and it would not take the vag code so I called my key guy he does keys for dealers and since I neede a new key fob because this car only has 1 I figure he can fix the issue so he cut a new key and programmed the new one and reprogram the old one I have and when he put key in inginition to learn the car locks work with key fob for 1 sec then never worked again then he said let me see if key fobs are program to car he hooked up another program he has to my car and he showed me pressing each key fob one by one the tablet shows locking and opening in the program so keys are programmed to car but no locks work with them now I read may be a bad door sensor that affects all the other doors with key fob can this be the case . I also notice the trunk latch for the rear hatch does not open anymore when I touch it with my fingers does not pop open at all only when I got the door switch to unlock it can this be the cause of both key fobs not working on doors a rear hatch lock not working ??

I'm in to learn how to program fobs.

My dealer says he can only program the ones I buy from him.
$205 for the fob and $139 for programming is out of line.

Any time battery is disconnected key needs to be relearned.

Get in car with doors closed

Insert key in ignition and turn to on position

Hold unlock bottom on driver door for ten seconds

Turn ignition off and remove key

    Try buttons on fob.

No dice tried that .like I said the locksmith program shows keys function but the locks on vehicle are not at all also my trunk hatch won’t open when I go touch on pad I think this maybe the issue causing the fobs not to work

It's happened to me a few times now cause my battery is trash, I've just had to put the key in turn to on and press the lock button a couple times and it works again.

Ok I’ll try that maybe car needs to be driven and let it relearn the weird part is that the trunk touch pad is no longer working but it was a week ago before the fobs starting acting up and I had the battery disconnected

    1) please learn proper punctuation, I can't read your post.

    2) Your remote needs a drive cycle to re-sync with your CEC. Just drive it, or if you want to force it, turn the car on and hold down the unlock, then the lock buttons on the fob for 10-15 seconds each.

This is similar to how the windows "forget" the auto-up/down after you disconnect the battery, and you need to roll them all the way up and down and hold each for a few seconds to re-enable the auto-window feature.
