    2018 and early 2019 S4 buy

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
It's time to move on from my 2008 Avant, so I'm looking at new leftover 2018 and early 2019 S4's as replacement.

There are several 2018 Prestiges with MSRP at about 64K on Carguru, what kind of discounts do you think I get?

Should I act now or wait till later in the year?

I'm no expert but I guess it depends on how much you value having your choice of colour/options. Now seems a good time to move if you want to have or get close to your choice. Discounts for cars on the lot look to be 15% and I expect the movement from there would be relatively small - and as time goes on the available range will diminish.

I leased an S4 in the last week of September. Sticker was 61k and came out to 434/39 mos

End of the month would be best to act.

    Thanks for the responses.

@Will. Anything in Black, Grey or White (in that order) will be ok. I'd rather have a PP rather than Prestige for cost sake, but I'm aware that I'm shopping for "Leftovers" so I know can't be too fussy.

@mhaniff. What was the agreed price for your S4? I'm assuming you leased from a dealer in your own state?

You should be able to negotiate killer deals on 2018 leftovers. $64k MSRP, you should try and swing $53k OTD.

I recently picked up a 2019 in early September. I feel like I got a decent deal on it as well as the 2020's would be rolling in soon and dealer was willing to move on 2019. I think I got about 10% off MSRP and a 0.98% lease rate.

That being said - if you can find a decent spec S4 on a dealer lot, I bet they'd be willing to deal!
    Current - B8.5 SQ5 - stock for now!

I recently. picked up my RS5 as a left over 2018 and was able to score 25% off MSRP without too much hassle. I know the S4 has different rates, demand, etc., but they should be HIGHLY motivated to move any remaining 2018's especially with the 2020's incoming. I would offer at least 25% off and pick up a "new" 18. Basically wipes out your first year depreciation right there and then some.

I ordered a RS3 in August 2018 and My S3 lease ended in January 2019. They were gonna give me $3.5K off when I turned in to get my RS3.

Turned in my lease and they didn’t have my car. Waited 6 months and it finally arrived. After doing the numbers a million different ways it would have been a mistake for me to lease.

I then found a S4 at a dealer in Florida “the car I own” and my dealer wanted my business so. There was a deal if you had another Audi “2015 or newer” you’d get $5K off and since they agreed on my next car they’d give me $3.5 off I also got that. And then there was another $3.5K off if you had a competing brand car which I have a MB in my company fleet. So in total I got $12K off and then I got them down $4K off the car and they included Audi care and they had the car transported up here for free.

Disclaimer! My company does a lot of work for the Owners of the dealership personally which meant the owner told them to take care of me.

Lol good god man. Yeah thats not something ill shoot for but good to know theres incentives on things like that. I had heard the 3500 and some getting another 2200 and then some additional small stuff. I used to always give in at 13% off msrp but seems like better can be had currently. Might not be a bad time to add a sedan. Thanks

It's always fun car shopping. I picked up a 2019 S4 this past weekend, it was outfitted really well: MSRP was 62,800, I paid 56K

    2019 Daytona Grey Premium Plus

    Cargo Mats
    3 hats
    Coffee Mug.....

And they didn't have a loaner for the weekend so the salesman let me borrow his SQ5 no questions asked!

Really wanted a new 2018 on the cheap, but of the four I saw on Cargurus, 1 had been crashed, 2 had been sold but the listing was still up and the salesperson of the final one never called back after saying he was going to present my offer to the finance manager. So I settled on a late build 2019 A4 instead that I got for 20% off MSRP.
