2.0tdi BRE Shaking before and after injector change

    Hello!

    I just purchased a 2007 Audi a6 c6 4F avant with a 2.0liter tdi engine codenamed BRE.

I noticed quickly that the car was shaking abit more than normal, and sometimes the shaking got worse.
I checked the oil level and it way to high, so i changed the oil and measured the amount that was in it and it was 2 liters too much and very thin.

So after alot of research i decided to start with changing O-rings on all the injectors, and it was my first time opening an engine so i decided to do a fair bit of research so i was confident with the job.

After opening the engine i quickly noticed that one of the injectors was damaged and the spring on the PD Injector was loose, and i also found a second injector with similar damage, so i decided to buy two used injectors with low milage and put that in instead. So i changed all the O-rings on the injectors and the ball-pin, reseated the injectors and torqued them with 3nm + 90degree's + 180 degrees turn.

Then i proceeded to install the rocker arm shaft and adjust the clearances.

I fitted the Rocker Arm bolts with 20nm of torque + 90degree's turn.

I adjusted the clearances using dial gauge following a guide, making sure the rocker arm was at its lowest point on the injector side, then screwing the adjustment screw all the way down and then 180degrees back.

Put everything back together only to find the car shaking like crazy with poor idle.

Anyone got any clues to what is wrong?

Have you coded your new injectors properly? Every injector has a code written on it that needs to be coded into ECU. It is very important for a good injector operation.

It's also pretty typical symptoms for a knackered DPF, the car trying to regenerate but not getting the chance because it doesn't get hot enough. This causes diesel in the oil and can cause runaway engines. You caught that just in time.

But what's strange about it is how much worse it got after changing the two injectors. Before it was very OK with just a small shake, now it is a richters skala 7 earthquake car, and i don't dare to drive it in this condition.

You did bleed the fuel system after changing them?
