    Question '19 SQ5 20" vs 21" setup

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking to pick one of these up this week and wanted to get some input from SQ5 owners on wear/comfort/noise etc.

Both cars are P+ w/ sport + air suspension.

Have a 15 Q7 currently w/ 21's (w/o air suspension) that goes through 295/35/21's every 16-18k w/ lots of tire noise at highway speed on California roads.

    Thanks!

21s look better depending on the color you go with but they are also more expensive tires that go quickly, they recommended me to do 20s. I went with balck optics, tires last longer plus did not had to pay 1k upgrade for the 21s. no road noise on the scorpion verde pirelli all season.

I really think the "look" 20 vs 21 depends on the wheel. I think 20" look great if its the right wheel. That being said more tire options with 20" and much better pricing.

Agreed. Love the look of the factory 21's, but leaning toward the 20" rotors..

the 21's are nice, but the tire selection flat out sucks. The 20" has a better tire selection for sure. I ended up selling our 21" wheels and bought 20" HRE wheels instead. It was a win/win for us, easier tire selection and also got a wider wheel as well.

I have 21’s on my 2018 and I hear going up to 265’s gives you more options, so that’s what I’m going to do when eventually needed.

The air ride takes care of comfort, I wouldn’t worry about that. The air ride is awesome. 21’s look great. I have the stock 21’s now serving as winter wheels, and Vossen 21’s as summers.

I wouldn’t let the wheels impact your purchase.
