Hello everyone... I’m back in the Audi family. I purchased a 2012 A7 prem plus. I’ve been reading a ton and there’s a ton of things I want to do to it.. I def want to make it look meaner.. also looking at the AWE touring exhaust, carplay etc.. you guys are the experts so any advice or if you have any steals, let me know... little advice on my SQEAKING brakes, took it to the dealer I bought it from (NormeReeves VW Irvine) and they said everything was near new and couldn’t do anything about it. I’m even considering getting my front rotors n pads changed.

    Thank you

What motor do you have? I'm assuming the 3.0T, if so, a supercharger pulley upgrade and a matching tune is your best bang for the buck... For your brakes, if they are relatively new, swap out the pads for a ceramic type and the squealing and dust will subside.. EBC red stuff seems to be popular or you could try Powerstop pads which are cheap and pretty much squeal free..

Welcome! The first things I did to my car were tint (which you already have), bought a RocEuro intake during black Friday that's only a month away (not for performance just for that sweet sweet supercharger sound), bought some ECS Tuning spacers (15mm front / 20mm rear) with longer bolts and some H&R sport springs. My car didn't have the OEM sport suspension so after everything settled in with the new springs is dropped the car 1-1/2 inches and the ride quality stayed the same. 3 years later and I think I need to start thinking about replacing the stock struts. I do not know how long they have been on there because they came with it when I bought 4 years ago. Personally, I feel the spacers are probably one of the first things that should be done because it makes the wheels sit like they should have been. If creaking of the brakes is after it's been sitting for a while it is normal. The semi-metallic OEM brake pads make a terrible creaking sound when they are cold, but it goes away. If you do choose to get new pads I highly suggest getting ceramic pads like Akebono, etc. They work just as well as OEM, they don't creak AND there is barely any break dust. With OEM my wheel s would be a different shade within 100 miles. With the ceramic pads I've gone over a thousand miles with barely a glimmer of brake dust on my wheels.

For the brakes, read up on bedding new brakes. This might help knock off any glazing on the pads or rotors that might be there. If that don't help then either live with it or go with aftermarket pads.

Now as far as mods go, they are very personal in what works for you. I would venture to say that everyone will have a different top 3 mods to perform. At first I would say just take it out and drive it and see how you like or dislike the car in stock form and decide from there what you want to change. Being used and new to you there will be things that must be addressed with repairs that money is better spent on right now. Once you get the kinks worked out go from there. For us our 12 A7 is pretty damned good in stock form. The only "upgrade" I have done was a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors along with ceramic pads. It needed brakes and the kit was cheaper than buying all the parts down at Advanced Auto.

As for fuel, yeah there is and always will be a big debate on that. Audi recommends 91 octane but does not require it. That being said I have regularly fed mine with 89 octane with no problems. It might make a few less HP but still runs good.

Did you experience any rubbing or have a difficult time with speed bumps? I am def looking into the spacers, springs and changing out the oem shocks. Thank you for the info.

I def want that RS7 front bumper but there's barely any options on finding a used black one. I guess I could go ebay and get the whole damn thing for $1k but I would still need to get it painted and Im sure that wont be cheap.

Do you know if the facelift tail lights are plug n play?
Advice on what Apple play retrofit to go with?

I should be receiving my OBDeleven Pro tomorrow and will take care of a few mods.

Anything else you can add, please let me know. Slowly but surely

Intake and exhaust are great for sound, your best bang for the buck would be an ECU tune. Visual upgrades like suspension and wheels don't hurt either . Shoot me a PM if you're interested in some specific upgrades and I would be happy to get you setup with some parts!

I agree that intake and exhaust should not be first as they are prob the least bang for your buck.

Ecu tune and larger crank Pulley is the way to go for performance

For aesthetic definitely get a honeycomb RS grill. Night and day difference for appearance. I’d lower it too but not everybody likes that

very rarely will u ever find a used bumper in the same color as urs, esp a rs bumper. if you see them for sale online chances are they are damaged and needs repair/respray anyways. i suggest just getting a replica off xenonuk. painting is usually around 450

tail light conversion is mostly plug and play. just need to rewire parts of it, and use VCDS/vagcom to code for the sweeping tail lights. u will lose your fogs though, but i believe one member here got it to work, but never shared how :(

Most people aren’t retrofitting the oem tail lights. They’re using the plug and play ones off AliExpress.com or eBay

I think you can pick up a can of factory paint, in a spray can, and paint them yourself. It’s a much cheaper option and they look great. BK painted his, himself. I’m sure he’d love to chime in.

A great option exhaust wise is a muffler delete. If you want obnoxiously loud you delete the mid muffler as well. If you just want a nice little sound chop off just the rear.

If that’s what you want just delete the rear muffler. Nothing else. Touching anything else will sound bad. Raspy and droney. I’m speaking from experience. I should’ve just stuck with the muffler delete lol it’s not too loud and doesn’t drone.

I have the rear mufflers and mid mufflers deleted on my A6. It’s super loud and obnoxious. I love every second of it. It doesn’t sound bad at all.
But it sounds like you’d benefit from just the rear mufflers being deleted
