    VCDS to disable automatic Pre Sense braking?

    Question is simply, is anyone aware of the VCDS coding to eliminate the Audi Pre Sense automatic braking?

    My girlfriend's SQ5 has it and she's frustrated that it isn't defeatable; it's tripped several times needlessly and in one instance almost got her hit by another driver who didn't expect the abrupt stop.

    Ideally it would be good to deactivate just the braking component and leave all the other driver aids alone, they don't seem to be any issue.

    Grateful for any help!

    You can turn it off in the menu, but you'd have to do it every time you start the car. Should be under menu, vehicle, driver assistance. Can't help with VCDS, but there is probably a default you can change.

    We asked when we bought it and they said it wasn't possible to defeat.... I checked also; you can change the sensitivity but even at its lowest setting it's annoying as all hell.

    you can turn the Pre-warning off and it will stay off, the Pre-sense though has to be turned off at every key on. We have a 2018 S5 in the family and had the same issues as the OP.

    Could you not just uncheck the package option with vcds? You can add options, can you not remove them?

    That's what I'm wondering, I no longer have a cable to check since I got rid of my Audi. I can talk to friends about evaluating it but there's no point if it isn't possible.
