I did a Carfax on my car and it described it as a "SPEC EDIT".
Did a search on the "Special Edition" and here is what I found:
AUBURN HILLS, MI – Audi of America, Inc. today announced the A4 Special Edition package. This package will be available on select 2005 A4 1.8 T and A4 3.0 sedans and Avants.
Vehicles equipped with the Special Edition package include all the elements of the current premium package along with a rear spoiler and 17" five-spoke cast alloy wheels. These packages are offered at an attractive package price of $1,200 for the A4 1.8 T Sedan and Avant and A4 3.0 FrontTrak®, and $1,400 for the A4 3.0 quattro® (sedan and Avant) models. A4 Special Edition models will arrive at showrooms by the end of October.
Package contents vary by model. A4 1.8 T sedans and Avants equipped with the package include: sunroof, HomeLink®, leather seating, 12-way power front driver and passenger seat (new to 1.8 T), including four-way power lumbar, and driver information display . On 3.0 sedans and Avants, the package includes: sunroof, HomeLink, multifunction steering wheel, auto-dimming and electronically folding exterior mirrors, light sensor package, Bi-Xenon headlights, memory for driver side seat adjustment and mirror positions and a 12-way power front passenger seat including four-way power lumbar (3.0 FrontTrak models only, this feature is already standard on 3.0 quattro models).
Each of these new Special Edition models provides additional dollar value estimated at $1,800 to $2,150 to customers, depending on the model.
I can't find evidence that this package existed in Canada.
As well, my car did not have the sport package but has the 17" sport wheels. It did not have the rear spoiler or power passenger seat.
That is why I am stumped.
