Turn off ignition before leaving car.... Ugh

Anyone know the coding to turn off this God awful, most annoying beeping when you get out of your Q and leave it running?

I know you can push the reset button on the right wiper's stalk to mute it but that's a pita every time.

Hi! This irritates me too... it's very loud. I keep an umbrella next to my seat between the seat and the door, and I have slam to door shut to get it to close all the way. I was thinking of looking at an OBD11 to see if I can long-code it to not do that... From what I've seen there isn't an app that already does this :/

Ironically, I too keep an umbrella in the same spot but never have to slam the door. Perfect spot for it.

Great point, the times I leave the door open is when I pull into my driveway and get my mail. Wife forgets her sunglasses in the house I run back in, etc.

On past Audi's the noise hasn't been as obnoxiously loud. Just had a thought as I'm writing this....

On my old school BY. I disabled the seatbelt chime and that took care of the headlights being left on after car was off, perhaps that may cancel out the chime altogether????

So far, this is one feature that no one has been able to disable via VCDS. You can kill the seat belt chime, but not this, which makes no sense at all.

I remember coding this out on my '12 B8, but while the coding "took" on my '13 B8.5 it had no effect. Because I'm a neanderthal at heart, I tried it again on my '16. Same. Those Teutonic wizards applied a spell that has yet to be removed.

Very large local Indy shop specializing Audi/VW. All I know is they hook up their computer. I assume there are other shops with this ability somewhere. Sorry. That's all I know. They offered to disable the seat belt chime--but I declined.
