    Untraceable stage 1 tunes???

I leased a 2019 A4 and I want to stage 1 it. But apr told me their tune is still detectable after the ecu is flashed back to stock. I’m trying to avoid a TD1. Any one knows any tunes that will not be detectable after returning back to stock?

I am by no means an expert on this topic, but I think the only thing you can do is a 'piggyback' like a Neuspeed Power Module or a Burger JB.

Anything different could be traced if they really wanted to as they could see all the module refreshes I’m not aware of any ECM/TCM tuning that would not be traceable in a modern car. My vote would be JB4 however I’m also would not consider myself a expert just a participant 😜😂

I would go with a JB4 or Racechip if you are worried. Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to give you a hand!

I had a 2007 VW GLI that I put an APR Stage 1 on. Made a big difference and I was very satisfied. Had the car 5 years and never had an issue with the APR at any VW dealership.

    Times have changed.
I bought an 18 A4 Quattro and called an Audi dealership in IN that’s an APR dealer.
The guy in the service department that does the APR flashes told me the first thing they’d do is have me sign a form that I was waiving my factory warranty. He told me if an APR flash was done my car would come up TD1.
    He suggested piggybacks.
I wound up with RaceChip and it definitely enhanced the performance but maybe not quite to the level of APR flash.
There’s just no way I was gonna waive a 4yr 50K warranty on my new Audi.
